Yes mate very frustrating playing on that joke of a pitch at wigan. We will now have to beat utd at old trafford and you at stamford bridge. What a great title race this is :mrpimp:

Only a back in form van persie can save us now.

Hmm. Maybe that should be Wengers mext mission, to insist that Arsenal should not have to play anywhere that gets a lot of rain huh? Maybe he thinks too that all pitches in the EPL should be like a carpet, so the Arse can astound us with their wonderful footie every game.

I mean, its so unfair expecting such a talented side as Arsenal to play on any old football pitch doncha think?

Man we could have said the same thing about the Barnsley game. We didn't because a team in the EPL knows that during the season, you will have to play on crap pitches like that, and you make changes to cope with it. It's only because Arsenal are so one dimensional that they do not have any answers when faced with that sort of pitch. They need perfect conditions to play their game, and that is not always possible.

Win or lose, a team shouldn't blame the pitch. A good team should still be able to impose themselves on any pitch. We played on that Wigan pitch and still we did OK.

Then again if you bring your young players up on astroturf, how are they ever gonna be able to do anything on a crap pitch?

But you are right, this will be a very close run in to the title. That will make the winners covet it all the more.

oh my god, how ******* biased can you be? Referee 1-0 Arsenal at the moment.

just constant, constant bad decisions against Arsenal, the two most flagrant being the non-existent offside to Ade, and the "foul" that lead to Boro's goal..just sh*t...and i thought things were bad with portuguese refereeing..

A pundit said that the player, Boateng didn't intentionally play the ball to Adebayor. That's why the referee flagged.

So what ??? Intentionally, or not, there was no offside. I hate when reffs go like that on Arsenal, and it happens really often... :(

look, to be fair, the assistant referee was not in a good position to see whether it was Boateng or not who had played the ball to Adebayor, perhaps it was the referee's job to overrule the offside and let play continue but he didn't.........
and it isn't just Arsenal m8, it happens to every team in the EPL.......

I wasn't able to see this game because I had two games of my own, but that still doesn't rid the pain of a 1-1 draw at home to Middlesbrough when your chasing the title. If you look at the table it's these draws at home right now that are costing us 1st place. United and us each have 15 points dropped on the road while although we are undefeated at home we have 4 draws, whereas United have one draw and one loss.
I'll add that these draws have been against United and Villa, (you can give them a small break for that) but also Birmingham and Middlesbrough which are teams you simply have to beat to win the title.

For some reason teams that struggle in the league usually do well in Europe, so the Champions League is looking more and more like our best chance to get a trophy this year.
