gawd, when i saw it in tv first time i didn't think it would be that bad, what a horrible tackle, the positive thing is Eduardo is not a player at 30something otherwise it could've ended his career, i seriously think that today's technology will help him back to his feet and i at least hope he gets well soon, he's one of the more decent Arsenal players!!! once again, what a horrible tackle!!

I agree with Wenger, Tayor should be banned the **** out of football forever!! Materazzi too he's gonna **** up somebody's life with his tackles i've never seen anybody so reckless!!! ****!!!!!!!!!! I hate that kind of people!!!

No Wenger is very wrong. Taylor has never seen a red card in his entire career. He is NOT a violent player, and there was no intent in the tackle as bad as it was.

Materazzi and players like him, are serial thugs who make career threatening assaults in every game they play. There is a huge difference between psycho's like Materazzi and players like Taylor.

Wenger is a hypocrite and an idiot for even suggesting a life time ban in this case. He has never even made a comment where Eboue is concerned, and Eboue could have ended the careers of at least 3 players so far this season.

When Terry had his foot broken by Eboue, Bobby an Arsenal fan wrote this...

"Lets hope "six weeks" turns into "forever". What a vile specimen Terry is". Thats on page 48 of the Chelsea thread, until Bobby deletes it of course.

Thats the difference between goons and everyone else.

Good news folks. I'm just reading on Croatian news site that they called Boro Primorac, who confirmed that doctors say it's "only" broken bone and that he may be back after six months.

heeey :(

but you're right, Wenger has no reason to demand a ban on Taylor, nobody has..it was clearly a mistimed, red-card tackle, but he certainly didn't went for it thinking "i'm going to break this chap's leg, just watch"...

as for Bobby's comment, well it was kind of similar to the one you made yourself saying you wish it was Eboue :p it's just rivalry man, nobody's wishing any harm on other people here....except for Materazzi, i guess we all agree on that..

Terry's injury was not as bad as this....... And MANY if not all teams playing against ARsenal play "Dirty" cus they cant stop us in any way possible...... I would never wish such a serious injury to any of our rivals. Its only football man and there is more to life than that......... Now f#$# off if you have nothing positive to say..........

ps- Eboue is an ass clown and many arsenal supporters dont like him.

Wenger claimed the third-minute tackle which broke Eduardo's leg and earned Taylor a red card was "horrendous".

But later on Saturday Wenger said: "I feel that my comments about Martin Taylor were excessive. I said what I did in the heat of the moment.

"It was a highly emotional afternoon and we were all shocked by the injury."

yes but Wenger isn't the same age as his players man, you have to see that "the heat of the moment" isn't something that should influence someone with his experience, and particularly someone who is usually calm as Wenger...

of course he doesn't want Taylor to be banned for ever, but the thing is he said it..

you don't have to repeat everything Wenger says parrot fashion mate. No team goes out there to "kick Arsenal off the park". Thats Wengers excuse for dropping points and you look as stupid as he does agreeing with it. Arsenal did a fine job of kicking a team off the park in the recent game with Man U, so don't be such a hypocrite.

It is irrelevant whether Terry's injury was as bad as this or not. There was intent on Eboue's part. That was not the case with Taylor. It was pure luck that Tery's injury was less serious than what it was.

That didn't stop goons from making fun of the incident though. Classless pricks.

What Pede has been saying is correct. What happened to Eduardo was awful, but if Eduardo had not gotten injured as a result of that tackle, we wouldn't even be talking about. He didn't do a Roy Keane/Haaland type tackle, it was just careless, and there wasn't any intent to injure Eduardo. Wenger has since softened his stance on the Taylor statement he made earlier, rightfully.

Lets just all hope Eduardo is alright.

british football is so agressive, is like playing with 7 ayalas and 3 sergios ramos :(
Why are you gloryfying Eduaro's injury with that signature ? Your the one that must die, not Taylor.

Help?

Fan Favourite
Yeah, and can you not use that signature? Its bad enough seeing it a couple of times, i don't want to be seeing it every single time i open some thread.

Listening to 606, most of the Arsenal fans were actually coming out against Wenger's post-game comments. Injuries happen, and unless it is a Keane-style attack or something that is vicious and vindictive, it just has to be written off as one of the unfortunate consequences of the game. Tough challenges go in every week and football is a physical game. I am speculating but I think Taylor will be pretty gutted over this and the possibility of UNINTENTIONALLY ending someones career.
