what wrong did you say, I don't get why is everyone angry with you? He just said we might have to wait until next season. no offense. so why?
I know right! Exactly! You get it! I admit that when finished, it's a great mod every time, but it's as much about the timing (if not even more) as it is about the features to be able to really enjoy playing it.
Yes, all the new boots and other improved visual stuff and even adding in new competitions and leagues is nice to see, but the thing is, at the end of day, that's all UNIMPORTANT! The main thing everybody wants is just to have a
fixed dlc file to be able to start the career in 2021/22 and a updated db in Creation Master to reflect latest season's leagues (promoted/relegated teams) and updated squads with the latest transfers and RATINGS and POTENTIAL.
I actually feel like it would be much better if they rather focus all that time creating other stuff in the mod (like creating the Conference league or any other no name Saudi league or whatever, which no one but those from that country care about having in the game). All of it, which I imagine takes an extraordinary amount of time, yet almost no one cares about it in the end. Rather focus that time on
editing/fixing the DB properly to really fit FIFA 22 (at least when it came out, if not the last weekly updated ratings), especially the player ratings and potential, and also to create the new players that are in FIFA 22 now (and create and add face files for them). At the end of the day that kind of thing is much more important than any visual or new competitions that they spend so much time making. The reality is that this mod will have the Conference league yes, but what does it really matter, when you most likely still won't even have players like Gavi, Nico, Livramento not even created in the DB (much less their real faces) and will have to create all of them on your own, if you want to use them!?
Or then you have players like Bamford still having a 73 overall rating in the last DB, when in reality in FIFA 22 he's 78. And so many more players like that. It gets even worse with younger and less known players, like for example Messias from Milan, he's still got a 64 overall, when in reality he's now 77 rated! Or (semi) finished players like Hazard or Bale still being 86 or 85 rated, lol. They do the transfers, just not fix the ratings and potential at all. So then if you play with the old ratings, other clubs don't even play the players that they do in real life, because they don't have their overall ratings increased to fit reality. Biggest example being Madrid still playing Hazard in front of Vini Jr. because Hazard is 86 rated, and Vini is 80, even though in real life and in FIFA 22 Vini is already higher rated (or at least should be). And Bale still playing every game, when in reality he hasn't seen the pitch for Madrid in months.
And that kind of stuff makes the biggest difference. Much bigger that being able to enjoy playing the Conference League or any new meaningless Arab league or whatever and any other less important things like new boots and stuff. At the end of the day It's FIFA 14 graphics and FIFA 14 is FIFA 14 in terms of that, and we're fine with that, if we're still playing it. Otherwise we obviously wouldn't be playing it anymore! You can't really change the visuals or gameplay to make a whole new game, you can just make a few visual corrections and tweaks to make the game look better at best.
When having a true updated DB would be that much more important to have to really enjoy playing the mod, and that could be done and released much much sooner, and it would be worth a hell of a lot more than having all that other unimportant stuff in the mod, yet having to wait months to be released in the first place, so it's not even the latest season anymore, before you can really start playing it.
To finish off, this is me sharing MY OPINION on what would be best to focus on, moving forward, on a forum MADE TO DO EXACTLY THAT, so save your breath and your key strokes, those who have a problem with it and were planning on mouthing off again on how ungrateful I'm being. I know the game is now 8 years old and it's a miracle anyone is still ready to spend his free time modding it, and we should all be grateful for that, but I just feel like they're focusing on all the wrong things to make their future mods a huge success! I'm positive many of you will actually agree with my opinion though!
