Now as for bassists... Tim Commerford (RATM/Audioslave) and Flea (RHCP) are by far the best around.

You've obviously never heard of Les Claypool, Jonas Hellborg or Troy Sanders....or the bass player frm my band.

Give it time, your fingers need to strengthen up.

If you're cursed with small hands you can always just play it non-barred by playing the top two strings with the index finger, which is what i usually do if I'm coming down from an Aminor or something.

Like Dave said: just give it some time. The F chord is the hardest to play except barchords. It was the last chord I learned to use. You just need practice.

Find an online free guitar course or buy one, perhaps. I bought Jamorama, it's great. Failing that, go somewhere for lessons every week.
