That is a good idea but I want to play Cesc in an advanced position, just behind the striker as he did in his last season with Arsenal. I think that is where you would get the best out of him. He made a lot o assists and scored many goals that season. I also plan on using Negredo as an impact substitute.

I always liked Cesc more as a deep laying playmaker, but there's no doubt of his ability to place great passes and a few goals when he plays higher up.

It's too offensive though.

Players move on the field, he would leave the flank for Walker, just look at Pellegrinis teams. If you want Cesc more advamced play him there for Monty and put Sahin on tje double pivot, but having Negredo-Higuain you need Cesc more involved in the game elaboration rather than him scoring.

Pedro and Schurrle offers pretty much the same (hard working, runs at space, finishing) and its not that they are superstars.

First: Fender is the only person that didn't post a line up at all, so please send it before a few hours or else I'll have to make a generic line up for you. If I somehow missed it and someone is kind enough to find it, you can post it here so I can use it.

Also, there are several teams without names unless I missed them. The following people I do not have team names from:

Sir_Didier_Drogba

If I don't get a response I will take the liberty of using last year's team names as this year's if you participated last year. In case you didn't participate last year then just your screen name will be used as team name.

The importance of team names is to attempt to avoid any kind of member bias. I will only post the team name instead of the user's name in the competition, so it is important to have a team name.


Lastly, if you didn't PM me your starting XI, I am using your last posted starting XI in this very thread. If you wish to make any last minute changes you have a few hours to PM your line up to be used for the group stages thread.

I'd put Draxler in for Welbeck and switch him with Shaqiri. Also, I'd play Muller AL and Shaqiri WR. I think they're both better there, plus you'd get better cover for Alba's incursions.
