Your model rendering skills are top notch. I've looked through the thread and enjoyed what I've seen so far.
A couple of suggestions regarding textures though:
-Any trace of sweat or shimmering should be removed. The game has its own separate set of sweat effect textures. Also, textures are static pictures and are not rendered like 3D models, therefore any sweat left on the texture will look unnatural whenever the game's lighting casts shadows on those areas of the player's face.
-Areas of intense shadows should be lightened, while parts that shouldn't be too bright need to be darkened (since in real life, people's faces are 3D. Under natural lighting there would always be rim lighting cast on each side of the player's face. This is true for any source photo)
-Sharpened textures do not mean higher definition. Sharpen your textures too much and they will look noisy and pixelated instead.
Here's a quick illustration of those points I've brought up:
I'm by no means bashing you, don't get the wrong idea. You're actually one of the better facemakers out there and I'm doing this because I appreciate your ability and hope you can do even better.
As a Milan fan I really appreciate your work on ES.
The shape of hair seems very good, but ingame it seems a bit unreal.
It's like a brick upon his head.
I find suitable for ES (even if not still perfect) this one...
In this img it can't be seen very well..
It's Boateng hair by andu'89 for fifa 12.
as I said it's not perfect, but to me very suitable for ES..
