As I guessed, PES 2009 is pes5's gameplay, wearing PES2008's graphical shirt ,though its shirt is a bit worse.

Better than pes 08 but still some things I think are kind of out there
1.Animations need some work
2. 1 on 1 if you get inside the box its fairly hard to beat the keeper im not saying its really hard but sometimes he saves something that he should have not.
3. Free kicks are better but I still find it hard to get the ball OVER the wall its like nothing you do will get it high enough yet the cpu gets it over always
4. Ref is very bias , he makes alot of fouls against me and yellow cards but not that much against cpu.

Played the demo on a friend's 360. I was distinctly unimpressed, but I think that was to do with the controller more so than the game. I was used to playing PES6 on the PC a couple of years ago - I think I somehow skipped 2008 (which sounds like it may not have been a bad thing).
I'll grab it for the PC, and hope it's as good as PES5/6.

Juce is legend for what he does for the game, posting over 4000 times does not make anyone a 'legend' - and dont say im just jealous because i have better things to do than become a self proclaimed legend of a game forum.
As for PES2009 - well it arrived the other day and i can say i think the final build is a lot better than the demo so please dont make a deciscion off the demo because the real final game feels even better.
The become a legend mode is great fun too, have not tried online yet been to pre-occupied with legend mode, up until now for me PES5 was the best one, 2008 was the worst.
For me the best pes is now 2009 - helped of course by the legend mode but also mainly by the timley return to the more refined pace, improved pes5 style passing and also by much improved ball physics.
The more i play it the more i like it.
One thing though i dont like in legend mode is the view....i still use wide horizontal...just use the map to follow the ball when off screen.

well on the xbox 360 Pes 2009 was nasty and i mean nasty....... but then fifa 09 demo was only a little better...... BUT i now have the full game of Fifa 09 and it is fantastic to say the least, realy realy smooth and the phisics are great (best i've seen EVER).....
i was'ent going to buy Pes 2009 after playing the demo but i might give it ago....
But i still don't think it's going to be as good as Fifa 09 this year.....

goalies cant hold a ball 4 ****, even straight at them or weak efforts they parry and i always score rebound, getting boring...same shjt.. i shoot, he saves, i get rebound, i score repeat, they shoot, keeper parrys they get rebound they score...well not always and not all goals but 70%...got this morning...
