[online-PS3] Losing team Disconnection Rant

Hey guys, I'd like to know if during a match that i'm winning and the other player disconnect, does that mean i win? or is the match as never happened in relations to stats?

I never disconnect myself and find it to the highest degree frustrating when someone i am quite nicely beating decides to log off (most probably holding the ps button and exiting the game). This has happen to me in the past 4 matches, the first was right at the end of the penalty shoot-out which i won so the game was over therefore i got the win recorded, but these other 3 i dont seem to get anything. even if the other player logs off on the 90th min before the ref blows.

I now wonder if this is how people with 10+ skill level and high ranking obtain those stats due to what i assume is cheating.

:: keep in mind all games where good connection (no stutter in game) and i have a all green connection with nothing else running on my network.

I hate early quitters. We played (with absolutely no lag) until the 120th minute and up until the winning penalty which i scored

as it went past his keeper he quit the game, presumably by either turning off his xbox 360 or unplugging the network cable.

I don't know if it counted the win for me or not. I haven't been keeping track of all the games I play. It did give me +500 some points on the ranking, so maybe it did record it as a win

As long as I am bitching about playing online I'll have another.

I usually try to pick an evenly matched team to my opponent, so if they are a k-league team I will be an MLS or K-league team. If they pick Real Madrid, I'll pick Barcelona. So this one guy has roma picked. I go and pick Club America (one star lower). He switches to the Revs, I guess to be sporting, so I in turn switch to the rapids and hit "ok". He quickly hits Y to reset the selection to his default team which is roma and hits OK before I can change my team to something better and the game starts. (4.5 stars vs 2.5 stars) I am doing fine, I like to think I am pretty good, I play defense correctly (not holding down X and A all the time doing a double mark pressure) and I make quick short passes on offense, The game ends 3-2 for roma simply because there is no way the rapids players can keep up with the roma players who are just so much faster. In the match facts it shows that the rapids had 73% possession to their 27%! I know i guess I am just bitching, but it is just outright trickery that won him the game by switching to his default team and not giving me a chance to pick one that is evenly matched.

^ yeah it's quite fustrating in both accounts. I had a time when i selected a 'international' team and the other person still selected barcalona!!, i mean seriously selecting barcalona is like selecting a All Star 90s teams, just silly.

I funny enough was getting thrashed last night by 4-0,(ouch) the dude completely out played me and I give him props about that, but my wifi died all of a sudden and I lost my connection, no joke. I wonder how many times when people dis-connect in a game it's a legit drop-out of the connection?

I usually look at the DNF percentage, while i have something like 3-4% and others i've seen have up to 15-20%. Don't know if thats a good indicator.

:: edit:: I've just noticed my last loss was recorded, so that's interesting, i'm glad it was though cause he would of got the win if my Wifi didn't die.
In that case I guess it does record even if you dis-connect!

I got thrashed 5-0 tonight by barcelona (i was playing as Lyon) and i never even thought about disconnecting.

There was another incident tonight though, I was in the box with 3 attackers and just the keeper. the keeper had the ball at his feet, and i had 2 attackers closing in on him to take the ball for a certain goal. He decided to pause right at that moment to throw me off. He let it just sit there the entire 30 seconds. Then when it ran out he paused again, and again let it sit there for the entire 30 seconds.

It didn't throw me off. I took the ball off of him and slammed it into the back of the net.

^ yeah i know exactly what you mean, someone had done the pause and leave for 30 seconds on me when my team were pressing his team quite a lot, this player would just pause it and let the full 30 run out, he did this 2 times in a row and then did the 3 in the second half, after letting the 30 seconds in the half time to run down as well, not so much a moment like you had in the game but it still drove me nutty!!
