That's awesome! I really admire your devotion to this. I wasn't able to open FIFA 3D models in blender even (tried FIFA 3D Importer/Exporter script but with no luck). Any chance you try this with FIFA 15 models as well? Maybe it would be easier to bring 16 to 15 models, I mean without "cleaning up extra verticies" part?
so i have news for us fifa 14 enthusiasts. i've been able to achieve some progress in bringing hypervenom (both df and lowcut), ace and nemeziz models from fifa 16. thanks to one awesome dude at blender forums i've been introduced to shrinkwrap modifier in blender that basically can mimic one model to shape another. this operation takes only a few seconds (!) but is in no way perfect - fifa 16 models have more vertices but are smaller in shape than the fifa 14 model i used. so when the fifa 14 model is being transformed there are "extra" verts. and instead of redistributing them where they could actually be useful the algorythm bundles them up in some weird places))
my thinking is that now i need to delete these "extra" verts, then increase the vertex count by exactly the same number. and then run the shrinkwrap modifier again.. the thing is i have no idea how to do all that yet)) so if anyone who knows blender wishes to help let me know.
