The highlight of my football career came back in the mid 80's when i won through to national football juggling competition 2 years running, performing before 2 F.A. cup finals.
I was once on the back page of the sun and called 'the Leicester Whizzkid'

It's gone steadily down hill since those days...
Where did it all go wrong???

Anyway nice to join the forum

maybe you got over confident. sometimes it is good to go back to the basics and remember how hard you worked before you got to a certain point. it keeps you level headed.

that feeling sucks e, when i was 15 i got a transfer to one of the youth teams of a prof club. but shortly after i got injured because i was growing to fast. i had to give up football till i was fully grown :(, because the meds didn't help mutch. i restarted at the age of 19 at a local club, i prepared well and now 2 season's later i'm a bit bummed because i have the feeling i can't reach my old level. I'm considered the key player by the coach and the club but i know and feel i can do so mutch better but the body just doesn't cooperate like it used to. i know i had a good chance making it, but the body desided other wise and i feel a bit robed of my dream :(. but i still enjoy playing football and some matches i get that old feeling back and i'm the happiest man on earth.

i know how it feels....i was always plagued by injuries.....i had a weak ligaments and kept straining them....i used to be the top scorer of my local team even though we weren't that good...then i left because i'd had enough, the club was under new management and it was ridiculous, the club dissolved after a while...then i started at neukirchen and it was a great atmosphere in the team but i couldn't perform...it was weird, i knew i had it in me and it showed sometimes but i couldn't produce it any more...then i was converted to a defender and it all started to come back...it took about 2 years but i was getting into the team...one season i played every minute except when i was injured...now i'm playing along side players who are 2-3 years older than i am and i still get into the team....it's fantastic...i was always determined to get there and at the moment it's going well
