How do you take your penalties?

Power?
Placement?

I personally place them bottom right every time. :innocent_smile_1:

Yardie
Yep - bottom right, just inside the post, and as hard as I can while staying accurate. Usually hits the side netting.

Skip to 1:40. In reality though I take them like James Milner took his right at the beginning of the video.

I like to take them on the bar and then score in a bycicle kick.

Now seriously, most of the time in the right side.

Like Cattermole at 3.00, with more power.

Although a study has shown that a powerful kick like that french penalty in the first vid will be a goal 100% of the time, assuming it always hits the target. A keeper can stop any other shot if he guesses it right, other than that one.

Walk up to the spot staring down one of the sides. Only take my eyes away from that side to look at the keeper, and then look back. Run up to take the penalty and have my body weight moving like I'm going to the side that I've been staring down. Kick it low to the other side. No keeper ever figured out that my staring was to dupe them into going that way.

I never had the confidence to do the slow chip down the middle, but I always wanted to do it to a keeper that was really quick to dive hard and low.

(((X + Y + S) / 2) x ((T + I + 2B) / 4)) + (V/2) -1

is the formula for the best way to take a penalty.

Finnish commentary. After Harts goal, the commentator says: "That guy has some balls, I wouldn't even dare to check it out, but they must be huge." (H)

We apologize for keeping the yellow too long

As hard as possible. i simply let it rip. This way I can unleash all that frustration which has built up during the game(sitting on the bench for the first 85 minutes) into that one kick! It's hit or miss, and I really don't care....I just want to strike it hard! If I miss then the game, my teammates and the ****ers sitting in the stands can all go to hell.
