**** seriously? Damn, ok heh sorry bout that. I was under the impression the WE PES 2007 was the version that would come out on all consoles, PS3 too, and have the same name in all regions.

And as for d-pad vs analog, why would you want to use analog when the game only has 8 degrees of directional movement? When the game moves to 360 degree analog movement (it may be problematic gameplay-wise) I'll switch to the stick but until then there's no comparison. The d-pad is way more precise. And the d-pad on the 360 controller is crappy compared to the PS2 pad.

If you have played WE10 on PS2, which I actually own, you can tell it is a much, much better game than PES5.

@ Azzaboy:(avatar = warrior asked for a title shot from sherri in a very weird way and answering Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo? hehe i m a huge wwf fan too)

As you say , I think that WE 10 is much better and faster paced than PES 5,+the tricks with the ball are much more easy to do!

im sure NEXTGEN games are well capable of 360 degree movement just like how NBA LIVE 07 will be moved up frm 8 to 360 degrees from PS2 to PS3

for manual passes i can only use analog sticks not dpad, i tried on pc

So the AI is not Next Gen , its base PS2 that has been tweaked! The guys own words ..
how would you make next gen. AI? It's not like graphic that you just make it look nicer with stronger machine. If you don't get it right, it's hard to get it. Take fifa for example.

Usually the demo is released a month before the actual game so it could be this month perhaps?

Last year it was out on Sep 15th, so I'm counting on this day this year as well

Konami of freakin America better get their act right and release the game earlier than like Feb of 2007. you cant be serious. Why do we have to wait like 4 freakin months for a game that is the SAME version with very very very minor tweaks here and there???

Its almost as if they worked out a deal with EA sports so they dont release the game here in the states around the same time. With all the good reviews Fifa has been getting i might make the switch back an get the next winning eleven via other means. :nape: :kader:

Mate the U.K has to wait many months for anything that comes out first in the U.S. Unless they make special effort to make a worldwide release. I'm talking about everything from Movies to Games and electronic stuff.

So if Americans have to wait till February for the game. O well. The rest of the world waits liek 4 months for games to come out if they are made in the u.s

The Pc version on a top end graphics card will be sugnificantly better than PS2, a pc with two gig ram, decent processor and a 7900 gtx would also probably produce better visuals than the 360 which to me is not all its cracked up to be.

Of course a top end PC could produce better visuals then a 360. The difference in the price of both systems is massive. But the hardware you have is pointless if the developer doesn't utilise it. Running a current gen looking game on a top end PC won't make it look next gen.

Personally I hope that the PC version is a port of the 360 game (even though I have a 360 anyway), but I seriously doubt it. The PC version of PES never really gets much attention, its usually a quick port to make quick money. So its likely it will just be a port of the PS2 version again.

I take it a lot of you haven't seen this?

Which format is leading the development?

Seabass: In the past we focused on the PS2 version of PES
first but with the switch to next-gen everything is now led
on PC and then moved across onto Xbox 360 and PS3, so the
formats are now treated very equally. As for the DS and
PSP, we're not attempting to squeeze the full version of
the game on handheld because it wouldn't work. Instead the
game will have the same simplicity of PES1 and PES2 but
we'll add all of the new features to make it play like the
latest versions on the other consoles.

As they're making "ports" of the PC version from now on, surely we're getting next-gen?
