PES 6 question

Yes, I know it's probably not too common to get a question about PES6. I've been getting into replaying older games lately with a lot more enjoyment than I expected, so I'm just curious... I see videos of PES6 mods on Youtube but they never say where they get their mods. The thing is, people whose opinions I respect a great deal about what sports games play best keep telling me I have to go back and try PES6 (which I played ten years ago with patches) so I'm officially curious.

Evo web and foro pes retro forums. A lot stuff for pes 6.
And World Stadiums Pes 6 on Facebook (+ Dibu, Windowop kits and on their pages you will find many more pages suggestions for kits).
Lattely community for pes 6 is loosing editors, but we have many work on this beauty game now. Problem is making option files for patches, rest stuff is good (kits have many on fb groups updating kits), almos 1700 stadiums etc.
Ask if you need anything. :)
I still play it.

Well, that's exactly it, yeah. There seem to be lots of graphics and menu mods that have been done, but actually if you look around online there is very little work done to update the squads beyond 2015-16. Also a lot ofthe patches are on sites that flood my browser with ads. It's really annoying.
What I'd like is something that has at least end of 2016 season squads, I can learn how to relegate and promote teams myself and even applying new uniforms, but the squads would be great if they were up to date.

I did myself until winter transfers 2016. And after i get new PC win 10 i got stutter a little bit and its so much annoying, so i didnt play a while.
Its not that hard to re-edit game by yourself at all. You need OF tool and to replace stuff for new teams.
I use Shollym. Have 3 different patches (club version with many teams, all national teams and classic patch). But its 2015/16 season, but good base for updating game.

Ok, but you can't just place another option file on a patch, can you? One that is up to date? It won't work?
