Oh 77.5 and this is only by one "magazine", this is a good sign. :)

FIFA 08 is going to be great. :D Thanx for the link.

Well the PC version of PES2008 runs perfectly! At the correct speed, so I guess xbox 360 users you can expect the full game should mirror what is happening on the pc version!

And I played ps3 2008 and it felt alot better than the 360 game.

So I suggest you go to google and search for the ps3 vids

By the way fifa 08 was at the Tokyo show too, but nobody was playing it.

Long lines to play Winning eleven.

So maybe that is your answer.

Remember these were the latest versions, not the same ones you played months ago.

That actually tells nothing. I'm 110% sure if they would have WII stand and XBOX 360 stand WII stand would have 100x more ppl.

PES is japanese product which have so big fanbase in Japan they even haven't heard about FIFA prolly.

So far, ps2&PC PES have clear edge and in XBOX360&PS3 FIFA is more realistic football, maybe not for casual players tho.

That's impressions of demo and after reading a lot about both games. Even HC(but still smart enough to be open) PES-fans are giving a lot of credit to FIFA on XBOX360&PS3.

I'm sure too, and that's because Wii is a better machine. Maybe not graphically, but it has better games. Wii is in another league. It's nintendo. They have proven exclusives other will never have and xbox360 shouldn't even be mentioned in a same sentence. xbox360 is like a PC, only without the power.

You need Wii to play all those NIntendo games, you don't need xbox to play any of xbox360 games, you can play even better versions on a PC. And if they happen to have an exclusive, it is never a real exclusive, it's usualy just another quake clone with a reskin and a different title ( run around and shoot things )

^^I disagree. I really regret getting a Wii. Haven't touched it in months. The sports games (Madden, Tiger Woods) were fun for a bit but it's a waste of space. Gonna get a 360 soon =D.

How can PES answer all the FIFA 08 madness?

Watch this clip:

Can this be real?

Uh... I don't think so. What kind of super-human player would do those kinds of tricks, bar Ronaldinho, like once in his career. It's crazy! This is football, not shaolin soccer! EA advertise it like you'll be doing it every game with your defenders! Good old stepovers and back heels all the way!

(And I hate the way Fifa players hunch their shoulders!):kader:

None of your posts are remotely accurate Piero! Everyone knows the 360 has the greatest andd biggest game library. What games on the Wii can compare to Gears of War, Bioshock, Dead Rising, Project Gotham Racing 4, Forza Motorsport 2, etc. not to mention Halo 3, Mass Effect , the exclusives still to come plus the multiplatform games (except on the Wii for the most part) like COD4, Unreal Tournament that will come soon! Wii needs games big time.

It's a trailer to demonstrate the capabilities of the game and some of the new tricks. You can't do them like that in the game.

As for hunching their backs, EA brings in new players every year to their studio for motion capturing. So don't blame EA for capturing what real players actually do.

I've been a long time PES player, but you PES guys need to stop bashing Fifa. Obviously you haven't played it have you?

You guys just make yourselves look ridiculous with these opinions based on games from 5 years ago. And to be honest, you're not helping PES at all like that.

That's just to show you what you can do, not neccasarily all thos moves in one go. It's actually hard to pull moves in the game which is gre3at. its all about using the right player at the right time, right angle, ball placement, etc. its fairly well done. you wont see players online doing ridiculously impossible tricks. good job ea

Yeah, fair point I guess... you know, screw it. I'm done argueing. Any point I make will only be counter acted in some way. Each game has it's good points and bad points, and I'm gonna leave it at that. I'll just stay with my opinion of PES!

You won't see them pulling off even tricks any 10 year old can do in real life. Fifa is just too sluggish and has weak control. That's what you people call realism, because that describes you in real life, but real footballers are not that bad.

I started pulling off moves online as well as offline. It takes practice, mainly timing. If you aren't too lazy to put in the practice, the game is very rewarding. Like in real life, you need to practice the trick until you get it right. Now that's realism:amika: No comeback for that one!

I am sorry, but that is very narrowminded. The Wii has had a shortage of great games, that is true but with games like Metroid prime 3 and Super mario galaxy, which btw got a score on par with Halo 3 on Gamespot and a 10/10 on Eurogamer, things are looking better and better for it. Also, you completely missed forzadelpieros point about the 360 not having any real exclusives, as pretty much all their games get ported to pc down the line. The 360 is just a dumbed down pc in my oppinion, and there is no way i am paying monthly to Micro$oft just to play online, lol.
It is not like i can't play Bioshock, Gears of War, Halo 1 and 2 (probably soon 3 aswell) on pc and with better graphics and controls aswell.
Now you tell me, where i can play Wii sports or Super mario galaxy outside of the wii?

As far as Fifa vs PES go, yeah Fifa is without a doubt more of a simulation this year in my book. That doesn't make it more fun though. While i like looking at other people playing Fifa, it is just not that much fun for me. I thought it was at first, but then i got PES2008 and haven't looked back since.
For me, the unresponsive players of fifa makes it a drag to play. Realism or not, i am just not having as much fun as i have in PES2008 and i play games to have fun

Fifa ......not

Watching the vid jsut reinforces what i thought PES is the best football simulation. ESP close up FIFA looks bad the players look too "thick" faces are horrid, they all do run the same, and it seemed that all the passes where on a rail esp low ones right to the player . Seems as though they dont have bad touches at all. Seeing as though most real footballers prefer PES says it all to me. NOw the commentary that is the most glaring problem for PES but ill take superior gameplay anyday. Nothing like watching a replay and seeing your guy bend it in with the outside of his boot on a volley....... AT first i didnt know about this new pes2008 but it was just my vid card ( had a very old one) upgraded that and ohh my going from low detail to medium or high( there is little difference betwixt those 2)..its like a new world. The animations are far superior and they way the bump into and slide by is just amazing.

All that said when i read that they couldnt put half of what they wanted to into pes2008 because of the cross platforms on the next gen's and pc, they say the next PES compared with pes 2008 is like going from fifa 98 to pes6. HAHAHA(really they say something different but ...)

Of course many games are also on the PC. 360 and PC go hand in hand and they made it that way! The important thing is that those great games aren't on the Wii or PS3! With exclusives such as Bioshock, Mass Effect, Forza 2, Halo3, and the rest to come, as far as consoles go, 360 wins hands down. As for Xbox Live, it costs $5 a month!!!!! For great service. If you don't want to pay it cause you think it's too expensive, that's sad. I started playing the 5 vs. 5 online in Fifa and it is truly a great addition and very evolutionary:shades: on EA's part. PES? No thanks. No last gen for me...well, except Half Life 2 on the Orange Box (which PS3 doesn't have either:clapwap:)

Well this confirms youhaven't played PES and don't know Carlos about it. First, it's not simulation (even PES fanboys admit). It's way too fast and ignores, gravity, physics, etc. Second, replays on PES 2008 are horrendous (ask PES people). It's a huge gripe among the PES community. And I'll add a third, online for PES 2008 is atrocious at best (also confirmed by PES fanboys). Graphics are still weak, little improvements and lack of evolution. Still looks last gen, audio is bad, overall presentation is very childish, etc, etc. Try playing it online. Serious, try it. Good luck. In the end, to each his own. Enjoy;) Great gameplay? It's fun (not in a simulation sense) but what's new??? What have Konami done in the 2 years they said it took to make this? What were they doing the rest of the 23 months?
