Same here. Been playing since the old ISS days and still struggle, and usually it's 1-0, 0-0, 0-1....

All those who claim they "easily" win 5 or 6-0 on level 4 or up: Unless I do not see it with my own eyes or in a video -- forget it. i just don't believe you.

as for the difficulty settings: i think they are seriously fvcked up. 2 is laughably easy, but there seems to be not much difference between 3, 4, 5 and even 6. I just played a 6 star game with Arsenal and it didn't feel any easier or more difficult than a 3 star game.

Guys, the game is hard sometimes, and if you're not winning by a big marging, don't think everyone else is like you.
Some of us here are playing WE series for a long time. I myself have played every single version since WE3. I'm not counting ISS/PES versions.
I'm used to the Konami style. Many others too. I've played people online and some were very good, certainly capable to trash the CPU on 6 stars. The thing is that we don't win by a big margin in EVERY single game.
That's why it's the best game. Sometimes the CPU makes you look absolutly shìt.
I remember back in the time, when my level was at 3 stars, and still losing, I wondered how the hell people could play at 5 stars. I thought that I played very well, and that I couldn't get any better. But you can always be better. I didn't trust people claiming that they can beat 5 stars "easily".
On bad days, when I'm not fully concentrated, I simply can't beat the cpu. My passing sucks, i'm not creative and I can't score a fùckin goal. It happens. Everything can happen.
Don't say that we're lying because you think that it's impossible. You can always improve. If you think you play well, and 5 stars is very hard, can't beat it easily BUT you still play WELL, try some pros online. That's the best way to test your skills. I'm pretty sure you'll get some unpleasant surprises.

I've already stopped playing the game, there's just no challenge.

Can't play online either because it doesn't allow you to use manual changing. Auto changing annoys the hell out of me and ruins the experience just like lag would.

That's what the FIFA-fanboys used to say. Konami is quickly turning into EA.

Still a great game, but it seems that the franchises' progression has been halted as Konami decides to add another platform rather than improve the game a lot :|

Just started playing master league with the default players and that's where I'm tested. On 6 stars I've won 2 and lost 1 but I really have to work for the goals. That great feeling when I score is there when I play this mode. I can know longer just trick defenders with dribbling and stuff because they're just not sharp enough.

And can people stop going on about how I should play online? I already have and said I got beaten 3 times. My whole point was never to say that I was a great player but to say the game was too easy. And comparing how I go online to how I go against the CPU that just proves it.

Sorry, i didn't mean to brag. I do not think I'm that great at this game but just thought playing on those harder difficulties was too easy. I thought it was a problem with the game. And playing with top quality players helps my cause. I will start master league right now with the made up players and I'm sure that will be a challenge. In fact now I think back on PES3 it was probably the master league that I thought was really hard. Maybe (hopefully) pes4 will be the same.

EDIT: I never claimed to be a great or phenomenal player, I'm just stating the facts. The simple fact is that I win consistently on 6 stars. I am not lying but if you think I'm talking crap then that's fine.

If you really want some tips from me... basically I play very patiently and keep it very simple. I hardly use any feints but utilise the different sprint buttons. I find if you want to get past a defender just running one way then 180 degrees the other way fools them a lot. I tend to finish things simply, just a tap of the shoot button. Mostly I just pass it around and keep possesion until I can almost walk the ball into the net. Through balls are very effective and if you pass the ball around from wing to wing you can often find an opening for a through ball. If all the players are marked just draw players towards the player in possesion and then pass it off. I use lots of short passes and find its successful against the CPU. Its just my style of playing and nothing special. I just works for me at the moment.

Anyway, off to play master league. Let's hope I start getting thrashed 5-0 each game... :)

Sorry if it seemed like I was accusating you for lying...

When I said I do not belive people who claim they win 9-1 or 7-0 on six stars I meant it...but I was non responding to your post but to another guy here who claimed that he win every game on sex stars like 7-0....I honestly still think scoring so many goals in a ten minutes game on six stars is IMPOSSIBLE..at least until I see it with my own eyes...

By the way, thank you for the tips..but honestly I cannot belive that you are doing so well even at six stars playing just simple and almost without using any feints: I have spent days, weeks and even months to lear all the basic skills and all the feints, and then I have to hear that to win on six stars I do not even need them!!!???:o :rolleyes: ...and knowing how hard it is to break through the opponents defences, I doubt that it is possible to break through them without using any feints...because if you do not make feints, the defenders will easily just take the ball from you...and I talk from my own experience.....

But I still think PES4 is a difficult game....I win most games on three stars, but mostly 1-0, 2-0, 2-1 or maximum 3-0....but also make a lot of draws...and a few defeats....(last season: 15 victories, 11 draws and 4 defeats)

Yesterday I started at new season on four stars. I played six games with Juventus, and I honestly found it very hard. Here are the results:

JUVENTUS-BRESCIA 1-1, SIENA-JUVENTUS 0-0, SAMPDORIA-JUVENTUS 3-1, JUVENTUS-CHIEVO 1-0, FIORENTINA-JUVENTUS 0-1, JUVENTUS-REGGINA 1-0...

As you can see, I have a very hard time on four stars...all right, it is not that bad: I only lost one out of six games...but still I only scored five goals in all...so for me it is just IMPOSSIBLE to belive that it should be possiblie to win like 9-1 on six stars.....I consider myself a decent player, and even that I know I am not among the best....well, I still do not think that I am so bad that someone shold score 7-8 goals more than me in only ten minutes..at least until I see it with my own eyes...;) :p

EDIT: I have now played my first game on six stars..and to be honest, I had expected a greater challange: I played with Lazio against Bayern München and I only lost 1-0...and I even hit the post and missed another oppurtunity one to one with the goalkeeper, so with a little luck I could have drawn...

So even that I still not agree that PES 4 is an easy game...al right, I can agree so far that the difference between level 3-4-5-6 is not that big....while the difference between level 2 and level 3 is HUGE...so I agree that there shold be a bigger difference between the different levels....

Winning eleven 8 is just too easy a game. There is soo much gap in the defense i can easily slip through. I used to beat Argentina and Brazil(which are the best national teams WE8) 4-0, 5-0 with a feeble team like Nigeria. I wonder what it will be if i play with
very good teams.
Winning eleven 7 is also easy for me to, but not as easy as WE8, i beat France(which is the best team in WE7) with Nigeria 5-0 sometimes 6-0.
But if you play the Master league that is a different story entirely. It is hard, their defense is close knit, but there is still a way i beat the CPU. I HARDLY LOSE GAMES playing with the CPU, that is why i dont play that often with the computer anyone but with friends in my area who are very good and can actually give me a challlenge.

Btw WE is a great game though, still way better than fifa

Playing Pes 3 with 5 stars in master league was a breeze I remember, and I never had any famous players.

So PES 4 Demo came , somewhat harder to create chances but easier to keep the ball.

PES 4 is too easy if you play national teams that are equal to each other enough said. The dribble accuracy is way to easy when you got the best players.
Thats why I love master league I always buy the medium good players instead of players like maradona etc, it would ruin the game.

You can decide yourself if you want the game tough or easy.

It's funny how different opinions are. Many who claims that PES4 is too easy for them also stated, that PES3/We7 was harder for them. Well, for me it sounds even more unbelievable than winning 9-0 on 6*. How come? Obviously I'm not that great of a player than some of you, because I'm struggling so much in ML and I'd say it's not awfull easy on exhibition matches too in )PES4. At the same time I could easely dominate all much playing with my default ML players against Real or Roma on ML in PES3/WE7. Rarely even drew a match, mostly a total domination and confident victory.
Isn't that a paradox?
