PES4 too easy!?

Have I suddenly been granted superiour PES skills by divine intervention (about time after all my prayers!), or is PES4 much easier than PES3!?

In PES3 I was struggling to keep up with the comp on 3 stars. In the PES4 demo, I can beat Italy with Sweden on 5 stars, and I almost always have more ball possession.

There are some reasonable explanations to my improved results, like the beefed-up radar, the improved stats of some Swedish players like Mellberg, Anders Svensson and Zlatan, and the fact that the CPU players don't magically find their team mates all the time now (a major annoyance that Konami has removed; I'm surprised that no one's mentioned it in the forums). But my feeling is that PES4 is just too easy!

What are your impressions, especially you lucky bastards with the full version?

The full versions seems to be a bit more difficult than the demo version....but that might be because I haven't played with the same teams yet as in the demo.

In PES3 I play on 3 stars, which is a bit difficult for me to win against strong teams with an average team, but to compare:

In PES4 I played my first game as Portugal against Latvia and lost 2-1
I did have a lot of good chances, but I only scored ones from a distance shot outside the box from Maniche.

I'm very impressed by the way the AI manages to defend and attack. It's not that up&down the field rushing kind of play anymore.

Yupp, its not that easy in Master League. It seems like the agility skill is alot more important now. Without atleast above 70 points, they move soo slow.

I'm deffo one of those who finds it harder than pes3/we7i. Then, I could win on 5* on a consistent basis whereas now on PES4 I find that I'm having to 'relearn' the game and adapt. Dead chuffed when I finally snatched a 2-1 in my fourth match on ML, and with Valencia at that

For me it feels like 3 stars and five stars doesn't diff in the demo.

I won with 1-0 in a couple of matches in a row on five stars but when I turned to three stars to see if I have gotten better they took the lead with 1-0 (then I won 3-1) but anyway.. they scored

In my opinion PES4 seems to be a lot of harder than PES3, at least for know and thats great thing! Because I was totally dominating in PES3. I'm probably gonna buy xbox in next month, so I'm going to get proper touch with the game then. With PC it's not enjoyable to play, cause my PC doesn't run the game so well. I can't wait to get my hands on xbox version of the game.

The retail version is definetely easier than the demo one, since it keeps most of the attributes in we7i, it feels really different with the demo, especially when controlling the ball, in the demo, the defenders just push a little pressure and the ball will be lost, but the final version just like we7i, when the attackers use his body to protect the ball, the defender would be hard to get it, it's extremely important since I always lost my ball from behind in demo. Moreover, the cf's positioning is far better than in the we7i, the through pass is powerful, see the radar and pass, wow, one on one to the keeper

One thing that surprised me in the demo is how easy it was to snatch the ball from CPU forwards, even when trying it with an average defender like Teddy Lukic opposing superstars like Vieri and Owen.

Are you saying that this is more difficult in the retail version, gamebird?

I've also been granted at least three really cheap penalties (this was using Henrik Larsson who has very good stats, but still). Anybody else who's seen this?

You people who have played both the demo and the full PC version, do you see any differences in gameplay between the two?

I'm having alot of trouble in 3* Master League and its hard to create chances unless you have two fast wingers and a forward(Castolo). Its alot harder for me. And I did master 5* in PES3.

ISS on Hard mode was much harder than PES4 on 6*.

But I'd say that PES4 is harder than PES3.

yes, I mean that, the defender is far too easy to get the ball from farwards in the demo, the retail version just correct the problems, that is great

but as you mentioned, the penalties is now becoming really cheap, even a small touch in the area would casue it, and now the foul is too frequently to happen also, sometimes I just don't know how I am controlling my ball could foul to the defenders. that is still the same as the demo

I played WE8 with my cousin on the ps2.........we did a master league with arsenal and beat liverpool chelsea and manu 6-0.......we also beat other teams quite easily by 3 or 4............SO i played alone yesterday and today and it is 3x harder.......I actually loose and draw games now ............


My point is that 2 players vs AI is gonna be REALLY easy if u are both good......

I would not say it is to easy...I still find it extremely hard on level 4 and 5. For this reason I prefer playing at level 3...

But it seems to me that level 2 has become easier...I would say to easy. Now I win most matches with 3-4-5 goals difference (my record is 9-0!). But on level 3 most of my matches are very tight and intense. I am now playing at Master League with Juventus. I have done quite well and after four seasons I have won the 1 Division Cup twice and the Master Championship once. But in the 1. division league my best performance is "only" a second place, and in the current season I am in the third place after seven matches.

I do not know if it is because the game has become a little easier or if it is just becuause I myself am playing better now...but my results this year on level 3 are slightly better than last year. Last year I did not even win one single Trophy on level 3 (only a 5th place in the league...and no cup titles...). But this year I have already won three cup titles and I have also won the 2. division.

I think the reason why it may seem a little easier this year, is that the teammates AI has been improved, so now they really tend more to run in the right places in the right time. And maybe the defenders tend to make more mistakes...but maybe this is just because the attacking players have improved their AI?!...

6 stars i no problem anymore for me but try play humans and it's starting to get hot. Then you have to adapte to other playing styles. In the end the CPU, you can predict their play. With humans - no.

One thing that's irritating when you play humans is that through balls are way to easy. It seems as if when you press the through ball button, the defenders suddenly run away from the player you aim the through ball for and he has free passage to goal. Very annoying. It should be harder to make a good through ball.

In PES3 I didnt have too much trouble wining everything on 5*, now struggling in 3*
Only got it for 2 days tho

i found it really easy aswell, try to unlock the last star and itll keep you busy.
