Looks like the ref was paid off..some very one sided decisions.

Too bad for the Slovaks, would have been nice to have both them and the Czech's in the World Cup.

I am watching the commentaries on Eurosport. They said the following:

"Well, Garcia totally miskicked the ball as Had slid in, itb rebounded off his arm accidentally and the ref has not only given the penalty but sent him off!! One of the worst decisions I have ever seen, and no I'm not retracting that."

I am not judging it yet...I need to see it on TV. But eurosport.com is very reliable.

Well, the only thing y know is that slowakia is making a lot of fouls, and therefore getting a lot of bookings. They said on the radio that the slowakian player was sent off because he argued with the ref when he gave the penalty. Sounds like a dumb thing to do. Nothing to do with robbing or something imo...

the player got sent off because it was his second yellow.. not a straight red, at least according to el mundo

Well...in that case it is fair. Versus Portugal at home, Slovakia also did lots of fouls...and didn't even manage to make an opportunity...and in their home they scored with a penalty that only the referee saw.

Anyway...Spain to the WC =P

my only hope is that the old fag of Aragones doesn't use any of the madridistas in the second leg :rolleyes: . we don't need more injured players.
