That sucks for the MLS teams. Key players are going to be missing for more than a month.
Well at least they'll be getting better by playing alongside talented players (as opposed to, say, Tim Regan or Craig Waibel).

Kotschau? Mullan? Olsen?

C'mon, Bruce. Stop the charity call-ups. :nape:

I'm not even going to comment on my anger at the omission of Buddle. Oh, well. At least Frankie's in there.

Mullan and Olsen are pretty good. Not sure who you could call up instead of them.

Excuse my ignorance.

But who the hell is Nat Borchers?
Nat Borchers kicks ass. Colorado Rapids central defender. Scored a cracking goal from a volley last season. Also a former U-23 international who took part in the infamous 0-4 defeat to Mexico.

He's always been in the radar but this call-up came out of nowhere.

Mullan is only there because Bruce like his porn-star moustache. :(

I just hate Olsen.

The Legend
I haven't seen the rapids play at all lately.

I missed their national games, and the lack of a team here means we get zero local coverage.

The Man From Ohio
I predict that Jeff Cunningham will dribble into a double team rather than making a pass at least 800 times for them this season.

(H) !

Mullan is pretty good though. The trio of Donovan-Mullan-Ching was deadly in MLS the last two seasons.

Interview with Thomas Dooley:

"How do you rate the current national line-up?

We're not managing to close the gap in international terms. The gulf between Germany and the USA has remained constant. Germany can play as badly as they like, but we're just not catching them. Some voices are calling for a new coach, but that's nonsense. Bruce Arena is doing a fantastic job. We just don't have the potential. We're not in a position to make the Final or win the World Cup. We get on a roll every now and then, like at the last World Cup, but we're not in a position to consistently cut it at the top. And nothing will change in the next few years if we don't do something about our system and our attitude."

What the hell? didnt you watch the USA-Germany game in 2002.
