Hello Guys
I've got a problem I'm not able to resolve

I don't manage to open my FIFA 16 database with DB master.
I've got an error message :

"unable to find a part of access : C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\FIFA 16\Game\data\loc\locale.big

What can I do please ?

Because you are trying to open the wrong file, it's the db folder you want, within the data file.

ok. I've got it but there's an other pb.

If I get the db files in /data and regenerate, the game crash.
If I put the files just in FIFA 16 folder, no crash but no modifications acted.

What is the thing I do wrong ?

The two files go in a folder named db, which goes in the data folder. If the game crashes after that, it's because you made mistakes editing the db files.

That's what I've done. I just add two kits according to Hagi's advices.
I don't think I've made any mistakes. I don't understand.

You've added kits? I've never heard of editing the db to add kits, what did you edit?

I added a new third kit for Sheffield Wednesday without impacting my ongoing career mode by using the method of "stealing" another team's classic kit, worked perfectly :)

okay.
I manage to backup my db.
No problem now to add kits without your "stolen way". I've added 4 kits to FIFA 16 without pb. (+ lua files)

I can explain it to you if you want.

Now, I would like to change the generic adboards but I don't have results yet.
Do you know how to do this ?

Use rev mod. Read the documentation in it.

that's here ;-)

I've got a second gk kit without pb (yes !)
but can't see the third kit I want to add :-(

Again :)

The steps you need:
- download and install database
- regenerate indeces in order to use it
- ADD the third kit to the DB teamkits table:
if the kit is not already in the game, this is the ONLY way to get it to work.

You need the database files, the DBMaster and a software
to regenerate.

Or simply,
download and study i68Controller.
It's made for beginners and does everything you've asked for!
Use the right mouse key to download the database
the Regenerator tool to ... regenerate
and the Scripter to add kits.

Obvious, you need 20/30 min of effort to practice...

Holy shit man. :wootman: Yes, you need to read some tutorials and practice a bit, lol. I will tell you this much because it would take hours to explain everything you're asking.

1. Open the db files using DBM.
2. Export the tables into a separate folder.
3. Use Excel or similar program to open and edit the tables.

Trying to edit in the DBM program itself is an exercise in futility. It's inefficient, and half your edits won't stick because the program is buggy. Using Excel is many times easier, and guarantees your edits will stick providing you edit the tables correctly.

I don't use MW so I don't know. I have tried to edit MW db in the past but found I would get an error message when trying to open the db and/or trying to save my edits. I gave up trying after that. And for the record, I edit my own dbs every year with no issues, so I know it wasn't my editing errors, it had to do with the MW db.

If your edits do not show up in-game, you can check two things: delete your squad save file in your docs/FIFA 16 folder; and reset squads in-game before starting a game. Also, once your edited db is functioning correctly in-game, any further edits to the db do not require regenerating.

That's exactly why you don't see changes in game, mate. The numbered databases are those the MWM Selector lets you install, but they're not read by the game. The one read by the game is located at FIFA 16\data\db\fifa_ng_db.db (it should match the one you selected via the MWM Selector).
