Here's what you do, it's called trouble shooting:

1. Reload the original default db.
2. Try adding the strips.
3. If successful, you know the issue is with the current db you're using and not CM 15.

When you supply zero details regarding the db you're using, which mods you've added, and what you've edited, it's impossible for anyone else to know what your problem is.

thanks, can you tell me how i reload the default db?? all ive added so far is the new liverpool strip - however when trying to add the new celtic strip it says there is a file missing...so perhaps reloading the original db is a great idea

Okay... Load up your files in FM 15. Highlight the data_default.big file. On the right you'll find all the files located in that file. Locate the two db files (check your current db folder to see which files to look for) and then use the export button on top to export those two files to your desktop. Those are your default db files.

In FM 15, click on the Type tab on the right, sort them to make it easier to locate your files. Both files are there, you do not need the bak. file as it is a backup file only.

Ugh, sorry man, that's where they were in previous versions. The two files are located in data_startup.big. Sort using Type, one is a database file, the other an xml file.

well that broke it.... :(

1. Export the two db files from the data_startup.big file.
2. Delete the db files in your data/db folder, and place the new files inside (back up your old files obviously).
3. Regenerate.

Your new db files should now be active and ready to be edited using CM 15.

BTW, if you are using Moddingway or some other crappy mod, the problem could be that, half the mods out there are garbage. To test this properly, you need to be starting from scratch with the vanilla game files, no mods, no add-ons, no nothing.

Moddingway has many issues, there is an entire sticky thread on this forum devoted to Moddingway glitches and bugs. I use my own db edits with the default gameplay, so I can't recommend anything, sorry. It doesn't mean you can't use Moddingway, what you're doing here is trying to determine what is causing your CM kits issue. But my guess is the problem is Moddingway, I have never been able to edit the Moddingway db without having continual problems.

A tip: Once you download FIFA 15 and have activated the game for the first time, right click on the folder, then copy and paste a back up copy right inside your Origin folder. Now you have a back up of every file you will ever need should you have any issues, no need to download the game again after that, simply reload the back up files.

That's not sad thing, that's a happy thing, you figured out the issue is with CM 15. And CM 15 has issues this year due to the new structure of the FIFA files.

I don't edit kits, but any time I've needed to change GK kits, I don't use CM. I simply add the rx3 file to the sceneassets/kits folder and regenerate. The kits show up in-game after that.

As its only the new st johnstone kit That's causing Me the problem do you think you could import it and and me the rx3?
