This is my edited 41212 tactic. I used this with Bolton and brought me great success domestically and in europe.

Formation

Team Instructions

Whats so special?
This tactic is designed to Top Clubs with Great Players but never really shined on the pitch with bad ass ratings like Real madrid. So this will make their spirits up and play great football.

The most eye catching and important thing is how i use the 2 wide wingers and the central Attacking Midfield.

If you watch in 2d screen, you can witness how the wingers run along the flanks and cross the ball to your target man. And also the Central Attacking Midfielder who will support your front 2 men.

But the best thing about this tactic is the 2 full backs. During opponent attacks losing possesion, they will play long balls to the centre and yes.. one of the strikers will run for it and score!

Good for Competitions
Whats good also is that you can use this for any competitions, FA Cups, UEFA Cups, ECL,etc.

Backup Plan
Whenever in the game you are losing by 2 goals or more, Drag the Defensive Midfielder up to Striker role and substitute him with a new striker. This works for me everytime! The new striker will somehow score the vital goal(s).

holy crap..... thats exactly the same tactic I use with Pontevedra... And I made it up myself as well... I agree its really good.... except nowadays I have the AM run up between the strikers of a more attacking style....

lol this tactic is good for Top players who arent performing on the pitch.. like if u use other formations with top players like mine and keep losing or having bad player ratings or just cant score even your strikers got 20 shots on target..

and whys downing on AMC?? lol...

Ok why would you make a tactic only for top players:| That should already be easy to do if you have top players. Also Downing should be on the left must have got it mixed up when i was rotating squads lol:$ But still that doesnt matter this tactic is still not great.

Well it might sound mean but thats my review and on a scale of 1-10 on your tactic i give it a 2-3.;)

well tactics play a huge part now in FM2005.. even your team is TOP, u can still lose to the weaker teams with good tactical changes. be aware..

can someone who has good players but keeps losing games try out this tactic?

in all fairness mate, while your tactic looks reasonably good, the team that you have (as fernandez pointed out) is so good that you can barelly fail anyway.

disagree entriely, FM2005 is VERY tactically based, but never have i seen someone totally fail when taking control of a big club with big players.

With Liverpool ive tried to do pathetic formations yet you will always win at home on most occasions, sure FM uses tactics/formations, but only as much in real life. Players are STILL the backbone of the team itself.
