PS3 vs Xbox 360 (Games)

Well I know how tiresome these xbox vs ps discussions can be, and I honestly don't care which one has as 0.002 seconds quicker loading time or whatever. What really matter are the games that will be exclusive just for the one console. E.G GTA for PS3, and Halo for Xbox360.

Basically, what games will the PS3 have that the Xbox360 won't have? And what is the predicted price for the PS3, and how much is a Xbox360?

A premium 360 will cost about £270, the prices will lower as we get closer to Christmas. No point buying a core, in the long run you'll spend far more than a premium.

The only decent games exclusive to PS3 (that I can think of)..The Getaway, and MGS.

The price for a PS3 will be around £400-£450. You can order one off play.com for £559 I think.

i can only dream of ownin any consoles ...i have to be satisfied by watchin the trailers

on topic, i'd say ps3 will have much larger variety of games while 360 will have better exclusive games...just my random thought

I've been a big fan of MGS & Winning Eleven series myself. So, I always want to have one console myself in the future, i.e. Playstation 3. Big money spending on this, I could well spend around US$ 900-1000 on it, assuming 1 PS3 console 60GB version + 3 PS3 games (MGS4, FF13, & WE series) + tax in a short run.

Right now, I'm back playing FF old series too/any Square-Enix RPG on PSone/PS2. So, my time & money spending can only be in the major PS3 games line up in 2007: MGS4, FF13, & WE for the PS3.

Yeah, I could never afford more than one console, i'd be struggling to afford just the one actully. Thats why I'm so kean to see which is better, is CoD3 exclusive for PS3?

GTA is not a PS3 inclusive. In fact GTA 4 will be released at the same time for both consoles and it will have exclusive contents for the 360 version.

Don't buy games. I've had gamefly for a month now and it's the best money I've ever spent. I play games until I get tired of them, and then send them back and get new games in a few days. I finished Hitman: Blood Money in 3 days, that would have been a HORRIBLE purchase. Instead I sent it back to gamefly a few days ago and Scarface: The World is Yours got shipped today. I may never buy another game except for Madden or a GTA game, which I can justify since I play it all year.

I was talking about the games. You've got the mainstays but you've also got the nice little gems that get thrown out. Games like Okami, ICO, Vib Ribbon and Shadow of the Colosus.

Exclusive to 360 = Gears of War (probably game of the year), future Splinter Cell games. GTA will debut on the 360, a few months ahead of the PS3, believe it or not. The 360 is the better buy for following reasons=

1. Cost effective (200 dollars cheaper than PS3)
2. Xbox Live (sony will not be able to compete with this)
3. Power of 360 is same as PS3 (more memory, architecture is easier for programmers, better graphics chip than PS3) (Don't be fooled by the numbers, most techies agree that the cell processor is not ideal for gaming and that most developers will not utilize full power of the cell or storage capacity of the blue ray).
4. Blue Ray might become another Betamax(Sony's format that lost out big time to VHS)

Aye, the Xbox 360 is really tempting, as I won't be able to afford the PS3 anyway... but what about Pro Evo 7? As thats the only series I play all year, and we know how badly they ****ed up PES6 for Xbox 360, d'ya think that PES7 will be the same for PS3 and Xbox 360? Or will Konami give the PS3 version more attention.

I think PES will be the same cross platform. Remember, they have to stay on top of Fifa. Poor showing on next gen from PES and great leap for Fifa on 360. PES will be forced to kick it up soon!
