:(

Major forums around the web are confirming that Peter Osgood, King of Stamford Bridge, has died today. Many fans report seeing him in good spirits and as late as before the Barca game last week. Though I never got to see Ossie play, the emotion is running out on all chelsea boards, and its impossible not to feel the devestation

The club has lost one of the brightest they ever had. Rest in Peace :( :(

Suffered a heart attack at a family funeral this afternoon, apparently all fine and well a few days ago. Sad day for English football. Only 59 years old, R.i.p.

I just heard it as i was driving home from work. Terrible, terrible news. 59 years old FFS. He was one of the 11 reasons that i started to support Chelsea and this is just terrible.
Its a real shame that in the Era he played in, unlike today, very few of his goals were even recorded. I remember that Match of the Day back then, only used to show 2 games, and those were the only two games in the entire football league that would have TV cameras present. There are still plenty of goals on film of course, but only a fraction of the total goals that made him a Chelsea legend. He will live forever in the memory of every Chelsea fan

I read a comment he had made on the night of the Chelsea V Barca game. Surprising to say the least. R.I.P

RIP :(

Just a little thing. A family friend of ours grew up in Windsor, and lived next door to Ossie as a child. They both played for the Chelsea youth team, our friend being a right back for them. They were best friends for the early part of their life until our family friend moved to Australia to start a family.

Anyway, I found this out one day and as a made Chelsea fan was shocked that someone I had known all my life knew Ossie. Anyway one day, the two were talking on the phone while I was there and I got to say a few words while I was there. The fact he took some time out for me, well yea ... Legend. Will be missed.
