DEAR FRIENDS.
I just got the most unpleasant surprise when I went on Moddingway.com to see what's up there. Appearantly, some guy
khomura26 packed up all faces from FIFA 18 and 17 converted by me, and released them as his own work, MEGAPACK CONVERTED FACES OF FIFA 17-18 FOR FIFA 14, not giving me any credit, or asking me about it. You know that all I ever wanted is to make this game better, and to save it from dying, since I am not able to play any other with my PC being pretty old now. And I did it because I enjoyed it. But not anymore. Up until recently I always posted content for free, it is still free of course, with that small link adjustment. But I won't be doing work for other people. That guy posted faces that I have converted as his own and want to make money of it. Well that doesn't work for me! You know that whenever I converted a face earlier I gave credits to facemaker, and when I release face that is converted by someone else, I give credit too. I do it because I have respect for the time that they have put into that. And I have put so much time and energy in converting those faces for you guys, and for the community to use it and what did I get for it? Disrespect.
I know that most of you here don't have anything to do with this and I apologize to you who respect my work. But my motivation is just completely gone with this what happened. I don't want to spend hours and hours converting just so that someone else can earn from it, and brag about it. I've had enough of it in my real life anyway. I am not sure if I will continue converting faces, or at least releasing them. If he is so smart, he can do it on his own. I am just sorry that this is the way things work in the world. The desire to make profit of someone else's work is the lowest quality someone can have. I do not own that faces, they are just converted faces by EA, but my time and my good will to help this game - that is stolen, and that is not something that I want to allow.
Also, you all know that my converted faces are also released on notallowed, but they always give me credit for it, and I see that as a way for more people to get the faces, and as a respect of my work, not as a steal. I would feel like that in this MEGAPACK case too if this wasn't done with intention to earn money, but since it was I can't be okay with that. I've already wrote to Moddingway administrators, but I doubt they will remove the pack or do anything about it. I don't want to be silly or to be laughed at, this is just a game after all, but I also want my time and my energy to be respected.
Thank you khomura26, who ever you are, for potentially destroying what I thought was a great project for FIFA 14. I am apologizing for this long post, thank all the other guys for your support, you kept me going all this time.
