[READ]Is your fifa 08 stuttering?or u see framerate drops very often?

I searched every forum and every place for a fifa 08 performance optimization,i even sent letters to EA,nothing worked,i even used the settings that MonkeyDragon suggested,nothing worked,i even tryed to change the Render_Mode to 2,i saw some improvements but still,the gameplay had lots of framedrops.I have a 8600 Gt from Leadtek and i think i found a temporary solution for all your stuttering or framerate drops problems.

GUIDE

Step 1).
-Remove your config files and replace them with the original Ea config files(the config files that u get after u install the game,with RENDER_RATE_MODE=7 not 2)
-If u don't have the original files,Download them from here: DOWNLOAD NOW! and replace them to your Fifa08/Data/Cmn

Step 2).
-Open fifa08.exe
-Go to your Game Settings and change the following settings:
Resolution- 800x600(Do not change to any bigger resolution!Your game will have framerate drops or it may stutter again)
Game detail- Medium or High(depends which setting u like the most)
I know that the settings seem to be a bit low for such great cards(the nvidia 8 series) but its the only way to have a combination of good performance and good quality.

Step 3).

Have fun playng Fifa08 with your high-end cards.

Hope that this guide helped some people that had very good video cards but the game was running awfull.

i ran the game on 1280x1024 and the game ran smoothly but sometimes is a little bit slow so i use 1024x768 as it's faster and can see more details

I get momentary stutters when the commentator responds to the ball being passed to another player. If i disable the commentary the stutter is eliminated.
