The joke is that you think Kaka is in anyway comparable to Ozil in 2012. But I see Modric as a long term Alonso replacement, not as a Kaka replacement. Maybe that's what he does initially, but not in a few years. And Kaka not being given a chance at Madrid is a ridiculous assertion. He was good, but just got beaten out by a younger, better player. It happens.

Kaka was never given a proper chance at Real Madrid. And now you want to replace him with Luca Modric? Kaka should have been given preference over Mezut Ozil. Instead, they forced him to sit and watch. Rubbish!

They just wasted 2 years in the career of one of the best players in the world.

I mean, you guys remember him in the mid-2000s right? He was lethal!!! I still remember that pass he made to Hernan Crespo in the Champions League final to make it 3-0 for Milan. It was absolutely perfect. Milan were nothing without him. Shevchencko was a soft little puppy, Pirlo had no speed, Inzaghi could only score against teams like Brescia and Crespo was only good for tap-ins. Without Kaka, MILAN would have been nothing. And Real Madrid wasted his career.

What a joke!

BTW, Luca Modric WILL ALSO sit on the bench. Ozil is too good. The Real Madrid midfield is set. No place for another midfielder.

Are you high? As if any club would go out of their way to waste 70 million euros..

Good thing you said 2012. Because when he was brought in for 56 million Euros, there is no way in hell that the plan was for him to sit on the bench. And even when Ozil came in, Kaka should have been the starter he was supposed to be. It's shocking that they did that to him.

Now, yes, things are different. But he wasn't at Madrid for 4-5 months. He was there long enough for them to work him into the system. They failed him...quite frankly!

They were looking for another Zidane and Figo combination. Couldn't get it. And they only have themselves to blame.

I think they keep him as long as Modric transfer is not successful.

I think Kaka main problem was fitness during last three seasons, he was given enough playing time when he was fit.

I'm still not sure if he was that great or it was because of Klopp's Dortumnd system cohesion.
his replacement, Gündoğan, played well.

I met a Villareal player at a club the other day (dunno who he was, but he claims to have played for the Spain u-16 with Silva. He says that he has it on good authority that Kaka does coke and that's why he stopped performing. He thinks that if Kaka hadn't started with that habit, he'd be Madrid's clear starter because he still has it in him.

I don't buy it, but it was interesting.

It would be ironic if true since he's all gung ho about religion.
