I think that Arsene can get the best out of Conejo! I really like the kid and I dont like it that we bought him just to sell him a year later. But I really hope he can go to Arsenal! Wenger can really fix the trick imo! He came to Europe as the next big thing and (while he had some great seasons) he didnt really convince! I really hope he can manage well when he goes to another team.

The lad wasn't even given the opportunity to convince us.. This guy is a good player, But who knows what happen and why he wasn't given the time of day with us.. Does Schuster not like him?? did he have a fallout?? He had come here wanting to play.. It is unfortunate that he wasn't given games to do so. Even now that we are struggling, It would be worth the chance to put him up front.........

He kicked himself out of the team with his two horrible performances against Mallorca in the Kings cup matches...in the away match he should have scored and missed two clear as day chances....and overall was very very mediocre....in the return match he squandered a million chances, but so did most of the team, but he was the main culprit......I think that is when Schuster made the decision, sorry but no thank you...plus Raul's revival really put him in the background...Saviola can only be successful as a starter IMO.

If that's the reason.. Then Its a shame. A player should have the backing of the coach after such performances, so he can pick himself up.. If the performances continue that I would understand. But If after two games, you tell him, SORRY, you're not good enough..... Well I can rant about who is playing bad and who should be benched.. But I'll just leave it at that.. I'm Pretty sure Schuster knows what he is doing....

I said he arrived (and rightly so) as the next big thing. Thats why he didnt really convince. I wasnt talking about his days at Real Madrid. I was reffering to his overall career after River Plate. I wont ever say a bad word about Saviola, because I really like the player!

Staying on the trasnfer topic, it looks like we are signing Bremen's Diego(robinho's mate from santos). he will do good. like kaka just cheaper lol. and has class which will help in the big matches like mallorca, roma

el nivel de la liga por la parte de arriva esta en el pozo, se escapa una tortuga y los de atras parecen cojos, encima es mas bipolar que las elecciones generales... o barça o madrid..., por las otras plazas el nivel es altissimo diria yo, hay equipos en la 8 o 9 posicion que pueen aspirar ala champions tranquilamente y el descenso este año se cotiza a mas de 43 44 puntos xD (quitando murcia y levante que estan muertos)

On Diego, he would be a good creating force, we need creation on midfield badly; and Guti is just too inconsistent...Apparently Diego has rejected Juve for the second time hoping we will come calling, as Addy mentioned him and Robihno as very close friends.......also, not to soundlike a little rushed, but it really looks like Schuster is unsettled...the players like him, the management team likes him, but apparently he doesnt like them (management) nor has he liked his life since arriving to R.Madrid....we will see...For the first time since I have been watching football, two coaches who have won (potentially; given we win La liga again) one of the most coveted league titles in the world...would still leave the club....but only this time Schuster might leave of own accord....

my sources? different sources throughout Spainish Media and intimates of the club....very sad indeed, if it turns out to be true.

I don't know, I really don't think that he is that great. I think we could go after someone better than him but that's just me.

Also according to AS ( so not all true ) but it seems like Schuster is falling out with the board. Supposedly he is pissed at Calderon and other members for comments that were made during a team event where they stated how great the team was doing while putting down the other teams which did not make Schuster happy. He is also unhappy that board memebrs are questioning his lineup. Seems like he wants this to be just between himself and Mijatovic. It seemed like some of the board members wanted to see more of Soldado and Schuster put him in against Deportvio knowing it would be a hard game to spite them ( that's a prick move but nothing new with him eh? ). One last thing is that he is pissed that information about targets for next season are being linked to the media.

Again this is just speculation from AS but man Schuster needs to get a hold of things otherwise he is going to self-destruct and take the team with him. He also takes criticism well which is nothing new but he really needs to cool it down with the amount of less than professional events that can happen with him. Really nothing new on the coach as that's how he was as a player and so as a coach he will be the same. But more or less it seems like AS is leaning towards Schuster quitting more than anything else. That's pretty much what I got out of it, seems like he can't handle some thing so he would want out himself not really the club wanting to get rid of him but again who knows if any of it is true.

Would be nice to see Robinho and Diego pair-up again like back and the days with Santos. I think Diego can become a better player if he came to Real Madrid.

Wasn't there a rumor a while back that because of the politics that go on in madrid, Schuster could be gone by the end of the season, But then he came out and denied those rumors..??

I say, Rumors or not.. There may be some truth to it..

Just a question. Who do you think is better?! IMO He is one of the best midfielders in the world. There is one player on his position that is better and thats Kaka. But Diego would come alot cheaper van der Vaart is also an option, but he is a bit injury prone and most importantly, van der Vaart excells being a SS at HSV. (while he was an ACM and even a CM at Ajax) Because of that it would be very hard for him to be on this team. Diego would be a replacement for Guti (who can be a genius and a fool).

The only thing that I dont understand is, WHY didnt we get him last year. Because we got Sneijder for 27 mil, a player that is a superb ACM, but played him weirdly out of position on the right. What will happen now with Sneijder?! I dont want him to be a 'squad player' , because he is definatly good enough to start for us. I think that if we got Diego we should play Sneijder and Gago/Diarra behind him.

It's all a bit weird atm. We already have a superb ACM, but dont play him there. Why would we play Diego there then?! All questions for Schuster to answer next season. One thing is for sure, Diego + Robinho = MADNESS!!

Diego seems to be a strong possibility - there is a lot of speculation going around forums and news reports so there seems to be some substance to the rumoours.

Would like to see some speculation about the defence though - I always amazed that Iker doesn't start having arguments with the four men in front of him, it must be tiresome knowing you are going to be the busiest man on the pitch

Diego isn't all he's cracked up to be. Not been amazingly consistent for Werder. Sure he can turn it on, but he failed at Porto and Bundesliga defenders are a lot less used to dealing with flair players than La Liga ones.

Well IMO I think we have a better AMC right now in Wesley and we will get Granero back in the summer who what would be the point of Diego? I think we should adjust our formation not get another player to come in, I would perfer Wesley to take Guti's position with Gago and Diarra behind him. Granero can be his backup and Guti can fill one of the other 3 midfield spots. I think what we really need to look for is a right winger and a CB. I think we need another CM-DM in the midfield if we are to play a 3 man midfield but he would only be a backup not a starter. That's just how I want to see things happen but who knows at the moment.

I would definetly go after a the following positions in the off season

CB (not injury prone, and young, with lots of room to develop further)
ST (I am torn between between a young talent or a true and tried killer, but if we could get Karim Benzema that would be dreamy)
AMR (Someone C.Ronaldo like; I doubt we will ever get our hands on him, maybe a couple years down, but right now he has been a beast at Man U. and Fergie would never let him go, at least not this year.....specially if they win the champions or the premiership
RB (Torres has proven to me this year that he is a good backup....sometimes, He could hang around one more season IMO, and see what happens, Sergio is too card prone and thus you have to believe he will be missing for a number of games every year...a great RB to alternate time with Ramos is needed...like D.Alves maybe...but I dont really love him so we could go for someone else...

The we need to play Wesley at his true position and let him create, I believe he can be the answer at the CM or AM position but he must must must be allowed to play where he is supposed to play...

then I would get rid of the following

Salgado
Dudek
Balboa
Saviola (They already said they are, but I probably wouldnt)
Baptista
Cannavaro (he has played well this year and could reasonably stay another)
and send Drenthe on loan or something of that sort...he is just really far behind technique-wise IMO


anyway, we still got 10 games left in the season...so lets worry about those first...
