Pepe will be one of our starting CB's, he has been our best defender in preseason so far so he is sure to start. But we really won't know untill all our transfers are done, seems like we are still pretty busy in getting a player or two or...

Now some transfer news, it's being reported that we are indeed after Alves but Chelsea are in the lead to sign him although we are not pulling out of the race. Cicinho might be going to Roma and Cassano is going to Sampdoria on a year loan which can be made permanent as Sampdoria can buy him for 5 million euros. Also we are getting closer to Robben but it has been reported that if the Robben move fails than one of the other posisble transfer targets for left wing could be Robin Van Persie. Personally speaking I would rather get RVP than Robben as I think RVP is a fantastic player.

Van Persie aint going nowhere...I am sure of that, Why are we going for Alves???? WHY?! I cannot understand our front office at time. I am happy enough with our defense....Go after Robben and end it....Chelsea are a pretty shady club too, thought, why in the heck are they making it so hard to get Robben. the guy doesnt want to play there anymore, they got a solid replacement for Him and that is it, this is business, not a freaking schoolyard where you play keep away...what Chelsea are doing is riduculous IMO

Drenthe won't play as our LB though, he will be a left winger most likely Robben/New wingers rotation player. Also I would perfer Diarra over Gago to start, Diarra is older, more physical, more of a brute DM, and his passing has improved. Not to mention Gago is for the future and a great player to replace Diarra ( who will leave for the ANC in Jan I think...anyone want to confirm? ). Van Persie is actually a winger ( he played there for Feyenoord and also has all the attributes to play as a winger ), the fact that he can also play another position is even more of a reason to perfer him over Robben and IMO he is the better player out of the two. Also not sure but I think Torres might be our LB not Marcelo. One last thing Higuain will play on the right wing ( rotation with Robinho ) as stated by Schuster himself. Soldado will be Ruud's backup/be rotated with RVN.

Yup, Robin van Persie plays as Left or (mostly) Right winger in the Dutch NT. And he is fantastic there! But dont count on him, Arsenal will never let him go and thats their right, because he is simply their best player. So that would leave Robben. And im not unhappy about that (if he stops his diving)

EDIT: Marcelo is in some danger now that Real has got Drenthe. There are reports in Spain thats say that he is gonna leave us on loan for Almeria. Well, he is freaking young, it wouldnt be bad, but I would never loan him out, because he is the only NATURAL LB/LWB we have. And he has immense potential and convinced me completely against PSV. Lets hope its not true! (although it would be better for his developement if he did got loaned) And to tell the truth, Drenthe s*cks at LB. So keep Marcelo!

Im VERY happy about our signings!! especially Sneijder! finally we have a real wizard in the middle.

also, Pepe has looked very stable and strong in the pre-season.

And play boring football like some team we know? No thanks! We have plenty of silverware to be very ambitious with "beautiful" football. As Real Madrid fans we are used to the show as well. We now have 2 quality players per position and rotation is key when competing in 3 tournaments...not to mention injuries + Drenthe can play LB as well. It's not such abad move to get drenthe as i first thought. Our defense I'm happy with. Ramos, Torres, Cannavaro, Pepe, Metzelder are all quality imo...then we have Marcelo who has huge potential and as I mentioned, Drenthe. Schusters plans will work but it'll take time. we have a new coach, staff, tactics and players. anyonne expecting us to win the CL this season is a bit crazy. This is a long term project we have going with all of our young inexperienced players. We need patience and not worry too much about our wins for a bit. It;s the ebb and flow of football. by the way, what's the deal w/ robben? why is chelsea being d!cks? Everyone knows robben wants madrid...lets just get it over with

Guys, Sevilla has agreed a fee for Alves. So he will go to Chelsea, wich leaves us in pole position for Robben! Thats it, our latest signing I guess. I think that the deal will be done later this night or tomorrow early. Oh and btw, for those who didnt know Sneijder that well, check this out

Well...losing 1-0 to Sevilla with our new squad with players missing isn't the end of the world. I admit, we look terrible but just for fairness sake we cannot let Schuster have it, it would work against us and our players. Lets be patient and then...after 3-4 games in the regular season, if we still play this bad, wave the white hankies and let them have it. I think a few games in preseasson shouldn't be taken for gospel. It's a brand ne wsquad wwe have for the most part. A few things I can't put up with is Raul starting, guti starting. Guti should come in the 68yh minute to work magic and Raul should sit. other than that...

Every year they get quality players and hype up their season...then they end up in 6th place Although, they've made nice moves this season in particular. Perhaps they can make La Liga exciting and join in the title race as well...who knows. Now that I think of it, if we don't start gelling soon, they may just beat us! At times I feel bad for them, their fans are so pathetic...then again it's not easy being in our shadows, it must hurt their "pride" often.
