one bad thing tho, can people stop sayin higuain is a winger everyone knows he is not
We know he isnt a winger ;) We just say that IF we dont sign a REAL rightwinger, then Higuain can play there (wich he has done last season).

ok mate fair play, has any one read the interview with schuster on realmadrid.com
he is promising good football. have a read :

Raúl will continue being the cornerstone
The captain's figure will continue to play a key role in Real Madrid's 2006/07 season. In fact, Schuster plans to use Raúl as an extension of himself on the pitch. The Madridista coach also plans on putting number '7' back in the position where he's obtained the best results: Second forward alongside Ruud Van Nistelrooy.

Formation change
Another change in the works includes the team lining up in a different formation. The double pivot in the midfield would shift to an attack-oriented rhombus, where a self-restrained and organised midfielder can shoulder the load for the team. The wingers will be glued to the sideline and will constantly interact with the left and right backs in the attempt to double-up along the flank and surprise the opponent. The attack-point of the rhombus will be held by an attacking midfielder who will take on the task of distributing the ball between the midfield and the two forwards.

Talent over strategy
The attacking trident proposed by Schuster has one order: To play the way they know how to. When footballers are as talented as those who play for Real Madrid, the best thing to do is to let them improvise in an orderly fashion. All that the new manager has asked for is speed and dynamic play. Schuster is looking for free-flowing football that doesn't logjam in attack and for his players to always be in a position to assist their teammates.

finally two strikers!!!!! hopefuly raul and robinho could keep switching alongside rvn!

I'v read that too, so i guess (I HOPE) that Raul and Ruud will play upfront with Robinho behind them as AM. That would be deadly. If we need some speed then put Higuain or Saviola instead of Raul. Then we also have our gem Soldado! He is a replacement for Ruud imo. We need a Right winger and if cant get it, then Higuain, Saviola and Robinho can play there. Really the attack is pretty much fantastic. But I have bad hope for Gago. Really a shame :(. Schuster prefers Diarra over Gago wich is understandable, but I would think of something to play them both.

Other news: In some dutch site they say that Feyenoord rejected the 8 milion offer for Drenthe. They want 11 mil for him. And Schuster said that Marcelo is staying (:D:D:D) and he is gonna fight for a LB place with Torres and (if we get him) Drenthe. Also Emerson is gonna stay, because schuster thinks that he is a good replacement for Diarra if he is injured or something like that.

more news:
schuster has told cannavaro he is surplus to requirements

justhammy remember gago is only young, yes he is an incredible talent but maybe diarra could tutor gago. yes they are different players but gago could learn alot from diarra eg tackling, the defensive side of being a holding midfielder.at the moment he is like a young pirlo, always ready and wanting to receive the ball

Thats true, but really Gago is good enough to be in the first 11. He makes the game flow more. But we'll see. He is young like you said so hopefully he wants to stay for some time!

yeh i hope he is mature enough to realise he is at the best club in the world and be patient :D.
i just know we will draw bayern in this years champions league in the run up to us winning it for the 10th time. after last year, them landing ribery and schuster saying real is a stepping stone to becoming bayern manager. i just have a feeling it will happen.
so is robben still coming? its all gone a bit quiet on that front, im still hoping for quaresma and nasri. we have to get nasri.

Bayern wont play CL this year ;) They will play Uefa Cup ;) Robben will almost certainly come. They have an agreement with him and Chelsea. The money will be used by Chelsea to buy Dani Alves. So next week will be the Robben week. (according to Dutch sites)

EDIT:
This is interesting:

We are after De La Pena?! :| Damn, that would be a big stunt. lol never saw that coming. Even though Espanyol say that there isnt any bid from us. Id rather have someone younger though. But still Ivan is a genius.

didnt he play there... for the entire past season?
i like raul and all.. but i believe robinho could do better in that position...
only if, we do not get a better winger...
-------diarra----------
----------guti---------
--robinho--------robben
---------raul----------

this could work :junior:

A tad bit of subject: In one hour copa america final starts. Traditionally I'm not a huge Brasil fan but I would love to see them win it cause of Robinho. I hope he has amonster game and hoists the trophy. I think it'd be a great sign for us Madridistas. It'd reinforce even more what we think he's gonna bring to our side come August. Robinho on the rise!

I'd like to see:

----------new AM---------
--Higuain or new rw--------robben
---------robinho----------

Would love to see my alltime favorite (Raul) own once again but I am very skeptical. I do not want to waste a slot in the starting 11 just cause he's a symbol. I think Schuster has to make an unbiased decision based on what he does on the training pitch and preseason games. C'mon Raul!!

P.S- Any Real Madrid fanclub card holding members here?

how did robinho play, i missed the match.

i know he was voted best player of the tournement and top scorer.
Robinho wasnt good yesterday. That was pretty normal, because everytime he got the ball he got kicked very hard. They almost kicked him out of the game. Especially Milito! Still, despite playing bad, he was important for the second and third goal. In the second he exchanged passes with Dani Alves and Ayala made the own goal from Alves' cross. The third goal he was also important. He began the counterattack when he played a pass to Love, who gave a great troughball to Alves. ;) Well thats it. Robinho wasnt good, but still important!

News reports say that Madrid are about 5 million Euros away from signing Robben, however it is expected that Chelsea will settle for about 21 million, which would be two less than what they are asking and three more than what we are offering....Drenthe's bid, went up from 8 to 10 mill,
