Yes, it is compatible with CEP 3.1, because teams id for Italy are the same, then it's compatible.
And it's less big to download than the forthcoming CEP Sound Patch. But the 2 won't be compatible together.

I've been playing more Serie A games just for the atmosphere now...

Quick question though,

Is their anyway to turn down certain chants? Most fit right in the game but then others are wayyy too loud.

Yes it is, if you use sound master, export the chant that is too loud, edit the volume and import it back in. Normaly all chants have the same base volume, but I could have missed some maybe? Anyway you will hear the chants of the big teams louder as this year that depends on the value of fanbase in the database also. And the situation of the match can influence the volume also, Inter or Milan leading 3-0 in the San Siro can be quite deafening...

Try also to experiment with the volume sliders to adjust the commentators, game sounds to your liking. I for example set the commentators louder than the chants as I like to experience the match as if I would watch on TV, other people like to hear the chants only.

If one or more chants volume still seems way off to you please tell me the team and if possible the chant itself, if you cannot identify it's title tell me the scoreline and time of the match at which this occurs and I'll try to reproduce the situation. If needed I'll modify and update those chant(s) in a small update.

I don't have checked your ini's files (in the audio.big) but this problem can maybe be solved, if all chants have the same generic volume, the ingame augmentation is due to that :

in the 6 ini files, you have 2 for large and 2 for small stadiums, in which you can found that:

// Volume, 0-127
CHANTS_HOME_VOLUME = 100
CHANTS_AWAY_VOLUME = 95
// This is a ratio; what percentage of the Soundtrack volume the FE chants are (over 100 is boost, under is cut)
CHANTS_FE_VOLUME = 95

Maybe, put the volume bit up for away teams and home team, letting it a bit lower for large stadium at full capacity:

lrg full:
// Volume, 0-127
CHANTS_HOME_VOLUME = 100
CHANTS_AWAY_VOLUME = 100
// This is a ratio; what percentage of the Soundtrack volume the FE chants are (over 100 is boost, under is cut)

I used Monkeydragon's settings from his ambient sound patch which I found very good, I'll try tweaking the numbers a bit to see if it gets better, thanks for the info Esterry.
