[REQUEST] CPU Vs CPU In Career Mode

Hi,

First time I've bought FIFA and only purchased it for the manager career mode. I don't want to control either team and just want watch the matches play out by themselves. I know I can do this in exhibition mode but can't find how to do it in manager mode. If not possible does anyone know of a mod I can use?

I havent got a solution for you, but just to let you know I also never, VERY rarely, play the actual game, I am obsessed with watching CPU vs CPU but funnily enough not in manager mode.

With PES the Sider mod helps that be available doesnt it.

As for us both being into watching CPU vs CPU, I think more people should try it out (of course only in exhibition mode for now) as you can really see some clever AI coding this year, its so organic isnt it.

Good luck in your quest, hopefully someone can get a mod for this, i doubt if EA would make it possible...

Thanks mate.

I love watching the CPU v's CPU, and with me being disabled it is very hard to use the controller, only really able to use the controller for the menus. I could play football manager but the 3d matches are nothing compared to FIFA.

If someone could come up with a mod that let me play without the controller in "career manager mode" I would be immensely grateful.

First time I've bought FIFA and only purchased it for the manager career mode. I don't want to control either team and just want watch the matches play out by themselves. I know I can do this in exhibition mode but can't find how to do it in manager mode. If not possible does anyone know of a mod I can use? or can make me a mod? I'm disabled and find using the controller difficult except for menus.

If I put the controller in the middle of the 2 teams the game says I have to select a team to play, I want this bit removed.

I'm willing to pay for your time.

This has been done in previous FIFA games version 14-16. But since FIFA 17, the game runs on a new engine that has yet to be "mod-able".
Therefore, nobody in the community has been able to mod the game files properly. So the possibility for your request is slim atm.

I'd say your biggest shot at this right now is to hire Aranaktu, who's skills in address hacking, has done the most progress in terms of changing values in the game files.

Thanks for the reply. Looks like I'm going to have to give up on this and count my losses. I should have looked into it properly before I purchased, but I took it that as the exhibition mode allowed CPU vs CPU that the manager mode would do likewise. I don't really want to start pestering individuals to help me, I feel like I have been enough of a nuisance as it is.

I can understand that. We'll just have to wait and hope for a working modding tool.

In the meantime, may I suggest that you change the thread title to something like: "[REQUEST] CPU vs. CPU in Career Mode".

So that it becomes clear as to what this thread is about, and also makes it searchable in the future. :)

I don't have FIFA18 myself so have no idea if this will work but maybe worth giving a try: on pre-match screen select side, start a match then just before kick-off pause and on pause-screen find "Select sides" settings and try to put controller in the middle to force CPU vs CPU gameplay.

EA's menu UI coding leaves little to be desired. Considering they have had 4-5 years (maybe more?) of this menu system, there are still mistakes throughout.

So yes, you think it is safe to assume it would be the same screens across the board but it isn't. They duplicate screens and miss items off screens on occasion. A good example of this is the Create Edit Player screen and the Lock Player screen.

In Career Mode you can lock to a player before a match, but if the player gets subbed off or injured, you have to play as the entire team as there's no in-game screen to do the same thing.

In Create Player screen there are about 5 or 6 key settings missing, this includes traits, potential, work rates etc and some of the abilities are incorrectly named.

i have worked out fifa 17 CPU vs CPU mod !!! dont know if works for fifa 18

should use FrostyModManager to launch.

Thanks for your help but FrostyModManager doesn't appear to be compatible with Fifa 2018 at the moment. I'll keep an eye on it to see if it gets upgraded in the future.
