they were the better team for most of the game, but they were lucky to score from the freekick... if it wasn't for that, it would have been completely different...
they did deserve to win, and had luck by their (or should I say our....) side

I was watching Sky News right after the game and I was disgusted with their comments. Stuff like:
"This win is very important to them"; "It's like their life to them" and so on...

I don't know if you can sense the "it's not that important to us anyway" tone, but I didn't really like it. Besides, I think that the majority of the british people honourable when they lose, and don't see themselves in these pathetic arguments. It's just a shame that certain persons get a mic and a camera in front of them in these situations.

Btw, it was also nice to see England supporters on the streets saying that they lost simply because Brazil was better.

Well, now that a few hours have gone bye, I can safely say that this match was another disappointment. All that hype for nothing. I think we missed one of our last chances to see a decent game in this World Cup.

After a few hours of coming to terms with it. I think we DID do well to get as far as we did. I mean what player would be out for over 2 months! Have a week of training and play in a world cup!! Becks clearly wasn't anywhere near his best. Unfortunately it appears Owen did pick up an injury against Denmark, because he was barely in it today, one of the only touches used to scored.

Nicky Butt, who has impressed this WC, seemed to be in a different game 2day, didn't see him at all! When we needed really to bang him in front the defence.

Scholes who has had a mare this season continued to show his ****e side.

I'm gutted for Seaman, he got injured like the 40th min, obviously wanted to continue, who wouldn't?? However, it cost him and the team as they conceded 2. Where had seaman been fit, surely the 2nd wouldn't have gone in? He was un consolable after the game, he felt he had let the team down.

Rio ferdiand and Sol Campbell don't work that well together, seperately good, but together not that good. They're communication is poor and this led to Ronaldinho splittin 3 defenders and Rivaldo left alone to bury it.

OH well, I suppose there is WC 2006, but that's 4 yrs away!!!!



I hope Ronaldo gets a better WC, he deserves it. After that ridiculousness last WC. I will be glad to see a good tournament for him. He has, after all, battled back thru 4 yrs plagued by injuries to regain a place in the team. SO good luck Ronny, you may be very ugly, but doesn't affect ur footy!

I don´t think u can blame the players individually...of course Seaman dropped, but Lucio didn´t look to bright either so that evens things up.

IMO Englands problem is swedish...I have never in my life (perhaps except when Norway had Drillo as headcoach) seen such a destructive, defensive and uninspired team....and I´m not just talking this game....they´ve played the same way against Sweden, Argentina, Nigeria and Denmark.....

I don´t want to see football end up as a 9-man defending game, so I like the fact that Brazil moves on very much...

The positive thing for England must be that if they change into a more attacking-style play, they have the players to get a top 5 team.....but not with Svennis as headcoach...tooooo defensive!!!!!!!

But now I know who you support ,that was clear, Kibe Cru must be Turkish, his name says it all Come on Kibe dont get so upset we did beat Turkey with the help of the Ref but dont forget we also did beat Costa Rica and that helped you guys in the end hehehehe =*

Oh anyways Im starting to get pretty worried, a game againts senagal or turkey will be tough. Senegal can either beat us or get punished for attacking a lot, it will be like a russian roulet. Turkey are still pissed at us so the game will be hard fought with lots of fouls.

Though games ahead, just hope Brasil doesnt get carried away with this victory
