Maybe someone can help me.

With RM15 beta installed and all working fine. Does a person need to regenerate every time a new addition is added into the /data folder?

So, If say I add two new textures into the /body folder, will I need to use a regenerator tool once again? Basically anytime a new textures are added?

This year arianos promised that it will be posible to edit bodymodels(EA's suck) and i was wondering if it will be posible to sign new edited models models to certain players using your mod?!

I have already prepared the replacements. All you will need to do is put them in the kitnumbers folder and regenerate.

So far I have not done any research into the new animated adboards. I am reasonably sure that the lua files do not reference them, so the only way to edit them is the database.

My plan is to have a generic suit for teams without specific ones. I chose dark blue as it is a common generic colour for tracksuits, you can change the textures if you wish. I will probably add the option to allow the recoloured versions, but you will not be able to use any specific tracksuits though.

I am not sure if there is a solution to changing the crowd size. The game crashes if any of the models are not loaded. It might be possible if the model was resized to as small as possible so it is not visible, but I do not have the 3D editing expertise to do this myself.

It depends what you add. When you regenerate, you instruct the game to use the version of a file in a subdirectory of the data folder instead of the version in the data*.big files. You do not need to regenerate if the file you add does not exist in the data*.big files.

This should be possible. However, quite a few models would need to be edited. For example, a different model for each collar style would be needed.

About the suits, i think that make a version with original team recolours is nice cause i guess people prefer have different colours for all teams than just 10 textured suit for some big clubs.

You can just tell wich lines we need to edit in the lua too for have the original recolour.

Its sad about the crowd size.. Poor EA, i dont know why they make that stadiums always full. I guess crowd size will be something "new" in FIFA 16 lol :crazy:

Not to be a buzzkill or spoil your fun, bro, but I think it's going to be very hard to do what you want with the body models... I've found out by experience in Fifa 14, thanks to scouser's modified player.lua that a seemingly simple edit can be very very hard, next to impossible, even to acomplish. Because the sllightest change you do to a part of the body model might cause problems in the bones positions so you may see it looks fine in blender but extremely messed up ingame... Had this isue with an attempt to create a shorter short version for classic kits with those small inverted V cuts on the sides

rev mods great but if it can do all this stuff then why cant we add specificoverlay_7002_223 to get the champions league overlay to show up in champs league games?

jut a thought, i mean theoretically it can do everything else thats useful why not looking into this?

Numbers 1 to 3 are database related questions and revolution mod doesn't change database information. To add new teams or edit names you need a db tool like db master.

To change the logos you can use iard's icontroller, provided you already have the correct logos in dds format

The overlay files work differently from the other files... for one they are not rx3 files. So they're controlled by different stuff in the game (strings in the code on the game's exe file) Most stuff on this mod handles files that are controlled by lua scripting.

Hope this can help shed some light on the subject

There's one thing that might change this time around though. There seems to be a xml file regarding overlays in the game's files so who knows if that won't have some use in upcoming mods/tools... Would be really cool to be able to add stuff like animated images to overlays if possible, for example

Steven Caulker was generic in game, but then I installed Revolution Mod and he is not generic anymore! I didn't put any rx3 files into data/sceneassets folder.
The face is really messed though.

Without the Revolution Mod - face is generic. How did you make it specific without putting any textures and models? Is it possible to fix it somehow?

Personally, I think some of the most popular leagues will be made completely, but it will probably take a few months before someone does so. Regardless, I have added a statement to re-enable the EA Colours.

I took a quick look at the file (overlays.xml). It seems to control the text which appears on the overlays. I think it could be useful for overlay makers.

I am not going to update the beta as I would prefer to spend time on V1.0. I took a quick look and and I think the bug is line 297 in player.lua:

db.player[idx].kitYear = db.player[idx].tournid

should be:

db.player[idx].tournid = db.player[idx].kitYear

I have not tested this though.

The game must have included the specific files. I would assume they set his head as generic in the DB because of the problems with it. The same thing happened with at least two players in FIFA 14. I would suggest extracting the generic parts he would have used and rename them to specific parts for him.

I'm very new here as you can see, I downloaded the rev mod beta (I think it's awesome from what I can see so far) and have seen the adboards in the epl, I haven't been able to tell of much else but I think that's just cause I'm not positive what to look for. I just had a simple question. When it comes to adboards for most stadiums, scoreboards, boots, kits, anything like that, will I have to do any editing to get all this or you do all of it (in V1 and so on) and I just have to download it? I know by not editing I only get what you have edited but that's all I need I'm too new to be trying editing yet, so I just wanted to know if you yourself puts everything into the mod or if there are certain things that I would have to do...
