Well I played The Hurricanes, looking to get back to winning ways against a tough opponent...
Took the early initiative, but missed a penalty and had a shot hit the cross bar. But we scored the next penalty, and scored a second - what a goal! Rio ran rings round their defence... went past a defender, crossed, Giddy vollied home his second!
Somehow he couldn't find his hattrick goal, and they got a late goal from the penalty spot. They were pushing for a late equaliser but Tosh finally finished them off in stoppage time, third goal to seal it 3-1.
Delighted with that, good result against a good team, and now just a point behind him and three behind Swish. I seem to have the better of him atm under this sim unless he can find a tactic to counter mine... so far he's tried about four and not been successful, would love a good away result next week before I go to the Swishdome.
I should finish in the top four anyway, hopefully top three, top two I'd be delighted, but I'd need to beat Hurricanes next week and avoid slipping up elsewhere.
Still, been a good half season so far!
