Jumpstart?
Since I really wanted to add the three Scottish cups to my game (Fifa 14), I've been slowly building (and acquiring) these elements for the past couple months. I hoped that a patch would swoop in and save the day, but with enough delays, I've had time to cobble everything together myself.
I'm not suggesting that this is an amazing, save-the-day solution, but I have a bunch of materials on-hand if anyone is interested. If nothing else, maybe it can jumpstart the process of doing a proper patch?
Anyway - I've built the four main tiers of Scottish football (Premiership, Championship, League One and League Two), as well as two regional teams (Spartans and Brora Rangers) for cup competitions. The lineups are all based on the first few months of the 2014/15 campaign, so they're very up-to-date ... to an extent. The right names are playing the right positions, and I think the ratings are relatively solid. The players are numbered correctly (in the top two tiers - in the lower leagues in Scotland, there are no permanent numbers). I've also made sure the top two tiers have correct height, weight, skintones, faces & haircuts. But I've not taken the time to micro-manage ratings, and I've done almost nothing to ensure that the lower league players are accurate. I'm sure several of them are the wrong color, use the wrong foot, etc.
As for the kits, I've created a couple, but I've mostly cobbled together the work of Scottish Carson and Chuckinho. Most of it is really good. Some kits are a little iffy, but they all work, and they're all better than nothing. And the league structure is correct (though I've not taken the time to build any competitions or cups).
Anyway - again - I'm not suggesting this is the solution. But if anyone is interested, I'm happy to share any or all of this. Since I used other people's kits, I'm not sure what the protocol is on that - nor am I sure what format is best for sharing this stuff (cmp files? zip files of images? something else?). But just let me know, and I'm happy to post whatever I can. It's all Fifa 14, by the way.
