any news? :)
On progress. (Exporting is kinda.... still messy)

Hello I'm trying to convert Platini from FO4 to FIFA 22. I managed to convert the model but am stuck on lack of textures with error. I converted the models and textures using converter. Also what should I do next? Import skeleton from FO4? And then edit every mesh up? Never done that, but once I learn it I could do it for basically most retro faces and stuff.View attachment 87817View attachment 87818View attachment 87819View attachment 87820View attachment 87821
First of all, I don't know anything about FO4 to FIFA 22 (PC, I assume). And if texture import is not working then you either have a corrupted texture file or blender addon doesn't recognize the file to export materials from rx3 so you got no files found an error. Also, it's best to look at the system console of blender (located at : Help > System Console)

And from the looks of the addon menus, I assume you are using v0.65 or below of addon. Please use version 0.66 as it got many changes to the addon script and it supports FIFA 13 - 15, even though it says "FIFA 15 Importer / Exporter".

This is amazing! I hope you can do it and thanks to you, these games will live forever.

P.S. Sorry for the offtop, does anyone know how to export a ball model? I tried different versions of Blender (2.71, 2.72 x32 x64), different versions of the addon (0.65, 0.66), but without success. After exporting, I get the 150 byte model... I tried to edit the model (moved vertex), tried to export the original model of the ball from FIFA immediately after importing... And still the output is an empty file

Well, thanks for your words.

And for ball model export, I got the same problem where it used to save only 150 bytes. Only the rx3 file header. I think you should try the overwrite than export but I haven't been able to update vertex with the old addon, just move and resize and overwrite the mesh.

Update 2022 Mar 15

Not much has changed but a little progress is gained as tokke001 has updated his code to get like original values of cols from exported ones. There seem to be fewer black spots as it still has some dust-like mask or my pc is shit so in blender and game I didn't see differences due to low rendering quality.

Below is the original mesh image as sent by tokke001

Please test the rx3 file and report back. If you want to send some example ball models to test please send them to me.

Also, tokke001 is rewriting his dll fully and my addon depends on it, it might take time for more updates.
More info at here in his thread. Until then as always: "Wash your hands, wear masks, be safe."

It looks like you put an incredible amount of work in to this @Death GOD 7 so a huge thank you for that and well done!

Is there any simple guide to installing this add on? I suppose I'm looking for an idiots guide...!

I want to convert .rx3 files in to .fbx and then .stl. I'm not very familiar with the gaming side of things and I'm also not very tech-savvy so most of the update posts are foreign to me. I'm just using the files to create 3D printed models for my own personal collection.

I have Blender 2.80 installed and I downloaded the file in the original post but I cannot seem to install it as an add on. I'm running Blender 2.80 in admin mode.

A basic set of instructions on how to get up and running with it would be greatly appreciated.

You can import the rx3 file with the addon and convert it to fbx (if you only want it for 3D printing).
Also old addon (v0.66) won't run in a newer version of Blender.

And when the time comes, I would make full essential to advance tutorial about it.

is something going forward?
I am just waiting for the RX3 File reader dll to be updated. If more people are interested then I might make the whole code public on GitHub (the code is in python and uses Python .NET for C# libs).

Also, it would be better for me and for the community too if I made it open source (the previous version from v0.66 // F15 was compiled code but the base is the same as the old F14 one).

And i m not forgetting u :
Working on that dll near daily,
it s my aim for perfection maybe that keeps delaying a release

But i promise this week i ll release the new version of my dll
Don't hurry. No need for that, better to have every variation working properly.

So in theory with your tool and Death God 7 work it will be possible to convert older faces to FIFA 22? I am working over FIFA 14 and am developing methods for easier management of converting those faces. I can convert FIFA Online 4 meshes as they are coworking really well in Blender with new FIFA 22 meshes. But now I tried to do it with FIFA 14 and am stuck on wrong transferring weights. I know nothing about how the rx3 meshes are compared to fbx, but I see transfer weights function in Blender works really bad(neck is landing on forehead, chin on the neck etc.).

My question is if this is solvable, because I don't know if it's the mesh problem or the weights themselves problem. I suspect that it may be mapping problem for vertices/edges/faces for that Blender properties. My aim is to find functioning methods of work for FIFA 16, 15, 14(Classic Patch is Godly, so it's the one I'm most concerned for) and maybe older FIFA versions. I know you can do it point by point, but my method is reusing rx3 weights and then adding missing ones in short. I hope it can work for other meshes(FIFA 14 has 40 to add, so it probably will need some editing anyways).

Appreciate you guys for great work and hope it works well for all of us!

Haven't done any F14 to F22 PC conversion but I think tokke001 made RX3 to FBX conversion and vice versa.

@tokke001 Man, you promised something
Patience is virtue :)
