Daz, I think there's a mistake, possibly mine. I'm a DC only. It shows that I'm a DL/DR, but that's probabyk because I forgot to change it to DC, could you just make a note that I'm meant to be a DC? It's just that all the attributes were chosen with DC in mind.

On the form you put DL/DR, i'll change it. I did think twice after reading your post, but then forgot.

Right. That's the applications closed now. Apologies for the delays in any updates, busy times. We've got a squad of 25 at the moment. More would be preferable, but i think we've left the application open long enough. Any suggestions on some filler entries? Or candidates for extra entries of guys that haven't sent anything?

I'll get something in motion for the CA/PAs and report back soon.

Fili told me you'd let me in after the deadline, thanks for that! Totally overlooked this (I hadn't participated in this for a while either). It was a bit hard deciding on a position in an already stacked roster, but I hope it works out.

No worries Juve, i've added you to the list. I'll hopefully get a little more work done on this tonight. Once we've made decisions on a few things.

I think we should go championship or premiership, at a club with us mostly on long contracts, but give the club absolutely no money (or negative). That way it's about management skill, not just building a team with cash-we already have that in the succession game.

Just been thinking about this comment Alex posted in the league choice thread. what would people's thoughts be on an almost-permanent transfer embargo on the club? So no ingoings or outgoings from the squad at all. Leaving everything down to our ability to get us to the best. Plus i think it'd be nice to have us all stick together and not be sold by force like usual.

And do embargos actually include not being able to sell players?

That would be awesome if you could manage it. Not sure about transfer embargos.

Anyway, if that's the case, we should have around 30 players to start with. If we can't recruit them, I'd just use someone's application from a previous SG United.

Yep, that would be ideal (the no one getting in or out), but it would mean less longevity if we didn't get enough people.

Not sure about embargo forever. Maybe make it five years? And definitely give us little money and long contracts for all of us.

Just run a quick test for a season with a Transfer Embargo in place. It seems it only stops you from signing players for a fee. Free transfer players are still signed AND players can still be sold.

Maybe we could get around this with setting everyone on long term contracts with 20 loyalty, and 0 ambition. But wouldn't 0 ambition have an effect in other areas?

I think 5 years or so is a realistic time span for the embargo, permanent would be a bit ridiculous.

I would support this.

How do you do it in the editor?

It's an option under "finances" in the editor.
