This certainly didn't look or looks like is going my way, you had 5 players scoring for the Semis while I had 3. Bruno Alves being Pepe's injury replacement was a killer...I might have a chance though, in case you only get Lloris for the final and I get lucky with my captain. This will be freakin' tight man, proper SG Draft drama

Having said that, league table has been updated with the Semis' ratings. So Sir_Didier_Drogba is now at the helm and I'm trailing by around 13 points, seems like kp is out of the race after France kicked zee Germans out

I think I will end up doing the standard draft later this summer again, but I don't want to do it with 20 people. Don't remember who, but someone suggested a smaller league so the teams are stronger overall, which will be more fun. There aren't as many regulars around anymore, so finding 10-12 should be much easier than tracking down MIA people in the run up. I just changed jobs, though, so I need to make sure I won't have to travel for some training after I get situated. Otherwise I would have started it up by now.

If you want to participate let me know via PM. I didn't start a new thread because I figure this way will attract the few regulars that we have left, so they don't get shut out. You can also include dates that you might be on holiday, or otherwise away from a computer/phone and I'll try to accommodate everyone's summer plans.

I am in. I PMed you. I think 16 members will make it easy to organize tournaments. With 20, it was difficult to organize a knockout tournaments (I organized the FIFA edition 2014) because the 3rd placed teams match ups were confusing. With 16 teams you go to the quarter finals. I'm perfectly OK with 10-12 also.

The smaller tournament suggestion was mine, and I am happy to play under such circumstances. Not only will we have stronger teams but there will be fewer 'voting blocks' such as the Barcelona fans etc so should be more objective.

What may end up happening is that all the Barcelona fans signing up and then the percentage of Barcelona fans may be higher. e.g. 5 Barcelona fans sign up out of 20 compared to 5 Barcelona fans out of 10.
