As far as SG goes, Verratti is the next Pogba (from a couple years ago). His immense potential is why so many of us like him, but in terms of his current ability, he is not one of the 25 best players in the world, that is ridiculous. But if it will make you happy, I will point out every CM that is currently better when they get drafted.

We can start with Di Maria if he's played at CM.

He is. He's not as good at making passes, but he's better overall.

Di Maria is a forward, if you play him as midfielder he still do forward things. He makes you lost control.

I dont think Verratti is a better passer than Di Maria (who is an excelent one) but he can read the game and chose when to pause, when to rush the attacks, always take good decisions, etc... Di Maria just take the ball and run forward like headless chicken.

Every midfielder does not have to play the same way in a team, but Di Maria wasn't really who I was talking about anyway.

Verratti is a better CM than Kroos IMO. Better physique to play football, more agile... Also better dribbler and much stronger in defensive work.

I very much disagree. He is better as a pivot, but not a better player.

Di Maria was an improvement at CM invented by Ancelotti to play him together with BBC. He can play there because of his passing quality but he'll never dictate the game. He played alongside 2 classic DLPs who could cover for his frequent runs on the wing.

When you said there are other better CMs I thought you were talking about actual CMs. Anyway I don't know who compared Verratti to Pogba.. Very different players.

Aguero and Muller is a pretty deadly combination for me. I think they would look pretty incredibly together in the same side.
