After being offered the Valencia job around November 1 (which I rejected), I started to realize I might want to move on. Though not announcing it publicly, I am keeping an eye on City and Real Madrid, who seem to be struggling. I think City would be really fun because Mourinho is back at Chelsea, but Madrid might be a little easier (they also have Neymar).

The final piece. I have now won every possible trophy for a team in the 1.Bundesliga. League, Cup, Super Cup, Euro League, Champions League, Euro Super Cup, and now the Club World Championship.

Nice for a swansong season, if I do end up leaving.

Honestly I haven't played him much. Had some pretty bad performances at the beginning of the year, so I can't justify playing him over Sanchez and Verratti, but also Paulao and Lodiero. Probably going to just sell him in the summer. Decided to play at least one more season and try to be a club icon. Contract goes trip 2019, so might just see that out and then move on.

Positive I wouldn't have gone over the 40m I raised from selling squad players for anyone else. Had to split it between the next two years, but... It's Gotze dammit!

At the very least, our shirt sponsor is up to 15m each year now, so between the 40m budget I had and the 30m in shirt sponsor that should cover it. Shirt sales up too. Just gotta keep winning.

I have never given this answer before, but figured I shouldn't tell the Italian press "football is about entertainment"

That's the second leg. Despite the 5-3 aggregate score, it was actually some serious Calcio. Played with a sweeper, and got our goals off set pieces and the brilliance of Giuseppe Rossi as a Trequartista in a 3-5-2/5-3-2.

Turkey came storming back in the second half of the second leg in Turkey when the tie was already decided. This thing stood at 5-0 at one point, and there was some complacency.

This buys me time to figure out what the **** I'm going to do with the squad. As amazing as the Mexicans are, there is NO talent in Italy. There is exactly ONE regen who was in my squad for these games (and he broke his leg after scoring the first goal). The average squad age is 28, but Balotelli hasn't developed. If anyone has ANY suggestions of young Italians to look at before this World Cup, I am all ears, otherwise I might be forced to play with a sweeper and Treq/Poacher combination like it was 1990. Right now the significant U-27 players are: Verratti, Calvano, Santon, Bertolacci, Crisetig, AND THAT'S IT. Paloschi is a good poacher.

Heh, I took over Croatia after they were mathematically out of the World Cup qualifiers, played 4 matches with mixed (poor) results and after the World Cup I left them for Spain. England came in with an offer a day after I took over Spain but I decided to stay at Spain so my manager can get Spanish in his repertoire.
