Tough first half as we go from a decent finishing team to a pathetic one. Only 1 point off 2nd, but we need to pick up the finishing as no one has carried their weight.

Bayern, beaten to the title last year by historic, and now resurgent, rivals Gladbach make sure they won't lose steam this season

Gladbach had no choice but to respond in kind

YEAH!!!

No Robben, no Muller, no Suarez, no Lahm. You dare field a weak squad against me? Now you must lose.

Down 2-0 in the 18th minute at home to a pair of Kaisuke Honda wonder goals, Marco Reus sprang to life in the Euro League Quarter Finals.

Get him, I love Gotze, although he's missed a total of 5 months with injury for me, and still managed to get, off the top of my head, 30 goals as a scorer, but mostly provider. I wonder what's the asking price for him at that pòint in the game? Has it gone up or down? My guess is down, maybe to 35m?

ShiftyPowers

Make America Great Again
Well, his value is somewhere around 24m Euros, so...

Which brings me to one of the biggest issues with the game, asking prices are too high at non-elite clubs for elite players. Neymar is still at Santos, Hazard is still at Lille, Gotze is still at Dortmund, because no one can match their asking price.

I don't know what he'd cost me, but in 2013 when I was FC Bayern the asking price was over 100m. Part of that is that I was Bayern, but still.

Three matches to go

We have pathetic Karlsruhe at home in our last game, so we could potentially make up 5+ goal difference in that game.

We also face Arsenal in the Europa League Semi Finals.

We dropped only 6 points in the second half of the season, notching a total of 45/51 after the winter break. Unfortunately, we needed 2 more

But we did lift some silverware for the third year in a row

Balotelli's brilliant second half of the season convinces me that we absolutely need a player like him before opening next year's campaign. Who knows if it will be Mario again, but a completely forward like him must be had.

There is a rumor that Chelsea are sizing up a 45m Euro bid for Adem Ljalic, which Gladbach have shrugged off (I would take that gladly).

There does seem to be less transfer activity. Not even getting many of those annoying 'X manager interested in Y player' which used to make the transfer window a living hell. All of the players you mentioned only moved because I signed them, didn't even get any competition, not even for Ganso, who I signed for 25m, despite City apparently being 'ready to bid 30m' 6 months before I made my bid.

None of the big clubs have made any real changes, all Barca, ManU and Madrid have done is signed a back-up keeper and a handful of young talents between them, over 5 transfer windows so far (including one in which ManU have been without Fergie). Really, all I see is the occasional squad player being bought. Only two clubs in the entire save have made any big changes, City, who brought in Alex, Jagielka, Cahill and Modric, and Spurs, who brought in Rossi, Baines, Maicon, Huth, Ji-Sung Park and Valencia (on-loan).

Surprisingly enough, they don't just spend, they splash on big players for the weakest positions. They went from:

Defoe/Adebayor
Vaart
Bale - Parker - Modric - Lennon
Benoit - Dawson - Kaboul - Corluka
Friedel

to

Rossi
Vaart
Bale - Huddlestone - Parker - Valencia
Baines - Dawson - Huth - Maicon
Friedel

If Modric had stayed, that'd be a really, really good squad. Better than United's who inexplicably keep playing amazingly well and always chase me to the title despite not spending a cent to improve the squad (and Cleverly, Jones, and the likes weren't that highly rated when the game came out (although now that I think of it, I did improve them in the database... but still).

Alright, well striker is our main problem and I pretty much avoided signing the ideal player for another year, however the issue should be solved in the future.

Final signings of the summer

Massive upgrade over Nyom, who goes to Besiktas. 20 caps by age 21. Third Mexican at Gladbach.

Also, Bertrand is reunited with a friend

The formation for 2015/2016:

Might have noticed that we now use both Verratti and Lodiero at the same time. They, along with Jali, are the best CMs we have, and I just think it makes the most sense to get the best players in the side.

While Guerrero was away at the U-20 World Cup, Fierro managed to bag a hat trick to go with 2 assists in a 6-1 demolition of Mainz. Awesome, and lessens the pressure on the 19 year old.

What's the word on playing those 3 middle men the way you do? With two DLPs and one AP aren't you finding the midfield too static? How is it working for you?

ShiftyPowers

Very solid defensively, DLP-Defend is basically a holder. I rely on my wingers for most of the goals, so they have lots of space to operate, and the AP-Attack is usually all over the place. Works well I think.
