Signing Ex-Players In FIFA 16

Hi all! Is it possible to sign ex-players in FIFA 16? For example im using Arsenal and attempting to sign Van Persie but he is refusing the contract yet asking me to revise my offer? What should i do to make him come? a high salary maybe? Thanks!

The problem would be the player_grudgelove table in the DB, VanPersie has three entries in there for Ajax, Tottenham and Arsenal.

Does this mean there is no way i could sign him or any other ex player unless i edit the database?

Probably, you could test with Arsenal offering him £50m per week or whatever your transfer kitty is to see if he says yes.
