body language is everything. lean one way, make urself totally dedicated to that side, but suddenly speed out to the other side. thats pretty simple and effective imo.

Here's a trick even i can do (and i'm a keeper)

Have you seen the Nike commercial with Ronaldinho doing that double flick against a Portuguese defender? Well, that trick is not too hard to do if you keep the ball on the ground (but INSANE if you can flick it into the air like he does).

Start with the ball going forward, you are running behind the ball. Using the outside of your foot, push the ball sideways (and maybe slightly forward), as if you're going to go in that direction (if you're right footed, you would be going to your right). Then in the same motion (in other words, VERY quickly), kick the ball with the INSIDE of the same foot back in the other direction (to the left if you're right-footed). It's something like a crossover in basketball. Once you do it you have two options:

1) If you fooled the defender, just run past him and listen to the "Ole"s (in this case the move went right foot to the right, right foot to the left, and left foot forward to get past the stumbling defender)
2) If he didn't get fooled, the ball should now be on your left foot (if youre right-footed). Use your left foot to kick the ball back towards the right and go in the original direction (in other words, the move went right foot to the right, right foot to the left, left foot to the right).

As a goalkeeper, even i can beat guys with this simple move. If you're not sure what im describing, look for the Nike Ole commercial with Brasil v. Portugal, and look at Ronaldinho's toe flick move. The way he does it, it's very difficult because he puts the ball into the air first. If you keep the ball on the ground, doing what i described above, the move is actually quite easy, and effective.

Im talking about this, only keeping the ball on the ground (making the trick much eaier, but still effective)

it took me about 3 weeks to learn the elastico

i get it perfect once every 3 tries on average

does everyone call it the "elastico"?

any way for me i get around many defenders by simply "cutting" (if that is what u call it) but that needs some body deception and change of speed.
also u can encorperate 90degree cruyff turns.

The roullette is also pretty easy. Watch Zidane videos when he did them, it's simple yet so flipping effective
