Football Manager 2009 is out. Who has it, and what's it like? First Impressions? Any different from the demo?

For once i've not decided to buy it this year, what with the recession and the like here in the UK.

I don't care if you didn't buy the game, what are your impressions of it?

To be fair most of these people are bitter that illegally acquiring has changed from the old tried and tested illegal install + nocd crack method.

I've installed my game on 3 PC's, 2 OS's, and had no problem whatsoever. Not true, actually. On my laptop it wouldn't run the Steam installation file so I used the non-Steam installation method. Simple, quick, painless all three times.

yes, because it has been proven so many times in the past with starforce and such that you can stop piracy... *rolleyes*

The one thing that has been proven is that legit customers/buyers get to freely infect their computers with spying and computer monitoring applications without their knowledge and more recently that they only get a limited amount of installations/multiple computer use. But hey! Its just like politics or religion. People just like to be left in the dark and unaware of things, and we just love being manipulated

The Steam installation thing is quite a pain the ass took forever to get installed, stopped it and used the other installation method and was done fast.

I already had steam, bought the game, and everything ran perfectly.

In game, I think this is the best addition they've had in ages. I've seen a couple of bugs (the one where it shows 13 players on the tactics screen-but its PURELY cosmetic, and there are only 11 on the field), but nothing that really influences gameplay, and I quite like the 3d match engine, makes seeing what positions, and passing is really working for your players. I must say, I'm a little disappointed that the arrows are gone though Esp. because I want to make my wingers cut in and shoot!

Just wondering, does anyone else have the same bug with the auto switching between the match and the rating screen (or between match 2/3D and any other screen for that matter) after you've made a sub?

I believe Amazon.uk doesn't ship to the United States because the US has its own Amazon. I believe the only way to get will be to buy it from individuals who put it on sale on sites like Ebay or Craigslist. If worse comes to worst i'll just wait for it to be sold on ebay. My only concern now the date its coming out, I have no clue when the PSP version will be out.... hopefully soon. I just got FM2008 on Ebay for $24 (including shipping), that should keep me busy until the new one comes out.
