So then guys, what do we all reckon to FIFA 12 now that it's been out a while? Personally I've found legendary much harder than '11 due to the crazyness of how hard it is to properly use tactical defending. Good fun though. Found the impact engine to be very clever, and the new close-dribble system is very intuitive.

the only flaw in fifa 12 i find is getting a free kick in a dangerous place.the defending is much harder rather then just holding a button(fifa 11) the ball dynamics and goalies are all so much better then fifa 11. plus with the sliders they have now (finally) just makes it so custom to each person as im sure we all play the game different and have many skill levels

fifa 12 is the best ever released .. it way passes pes now ,,, am just enjoying the gameplay alot ... they really made a gameplay wich makes me feel am watching a real match , impact engine is the smartest in fifa ! and legendary is hard specaily when the PC makes some tricks that can screw my def ... even tho iam a bit used to tac defending but its still hard against pc in legendary >.<

Good game, not great, with some major flaws that are in need of some kind of fix (still working on those for myself).

First, the dribbling system is such that on default settings, it's very easy to simply dribble from one end of the pitch to the other against the toughest teams on Legendary, without the CPU being able to or making a move to take the ball away. Man marking sliders help with that, as does changing CPU team tactics to Aggressive.

There are next-to-no fouls or cards called against the CPU. That part of the game is pretty much broken.

CPU free kicks/corners are automated as usually, ugh. After watching the CPU hit corner after corner with deadly accuracy, I created a roster where every CPU player rating was set at 1. I then repeatedly kicked the ball out of my end so as to see how CPU corners panned out. And... corner after corner with deadly accuracy, of course. Why can't the devs fix that aspect of FIFA, it really turns the game into an arcade joke where ratings mean nothing.

For the PC version anyway, there are stuttering issues that nobody has been able to solve. I have a highend PC and can play on high settings. The game runs fine until near the end of the half, then the slowdown hits. And no optimizer mods or playing on low settings helps with this issue. It seems to be some kind of cache issue. I know Tiger Woods 08 on the PC had a similar issue that was fixed by editing one file and changing it's read-only status or something along those lines. If anyone knows of something similar in this game, please let me know, this issue in particular is annoying as hell.

Well, FIFA12 has some nice new touches. But I especially like the new shooting parameters. I'm playing Be A Pro mode with Gerrard and I'm triggering from all sides The long shots are more controllable, thus more fun to take

I was just about to post exactly that. I use the Pro cam, and the shooting in this game is sublime. Really, really enjoyable and well done.

You just don't know how to play Pro Evolution Soccer, admit it

There is tons of n00bs like that. I play both games on same level, not the best on both games, but definitely can see pros and cons of both games.

Saying FIFA 12 is the best is a bloody joke this year. Pro Evo 2012 gives you much more fun than FIFA. It was the same last year too. FIFA is like scripted spectacle. Get into position, hold finesse shot, and what do you know, you score.

I can score 20/20 exact same goals on FIFA. This will NEVER happen on Pro Evo even if I tried. Every goal will be slightly different even with PES crap GKs (which can be fixed if you edit exe file :P).

Gameplay AI wise... 2012 is just MILES clear of FIFA. KONAMI did amazing job with teammates AI/CPU AI this year. Game will give you some trouble from Beginner level to Super Star. So everyone can enjoy it. There is no easy 6-0 wins like on FIFA.

But yeh, if you're looking for licenses or online modes FIFA is waaaay better.

If you're single player user, I would seriously consider PES 2012 this year... After installing PESEdit patches + jenkey1002 gameplay mod this game is totally different.

Of course doing 2 careers on both games .

What the heck are you talking about? Finesse shots doesn't guarantee the goal, I play Online and Career and I miss EXTREMELY much. And saying tactical boring PES ismuch more fun than FIFA is a joke.

I agree with most of that, especially the scripted part. But PES has its scripted elements as well and gamers have been raging about that for two years now. And worst of all is the scripted user shooting in PES: aim left and the ball goes in the net on the right. Unacceptable for someone like me who demands manual control in all aspects of the gameplay. PES is definitely the better game overall, but I have to have my manual controls, and that's where PES fails big time this year.

I can't look past the sh*tty EA Servers. The game is amazing, but I haven't managed to play the online features yet, which for a the first game I've paid for in 11 years, is frustratingly infuriating.
