Some Personal Tips If You Suffer Some Camera Stutter Or Lag

These things helped me (dual core pc for games) and may help other if you get stutter on camera pan in places or some lag. These are my settings with my rig so it might not suit everyone.

1. Make sure your replay file is "read only" located in you mydocuments folder for your profiles:

My Documents\FIFA 14\instance0.bin
.. right click and tick read only and apply.

2. Under your settings file in your documents folder:

My Documents\FIFA 14\fifasetup.ini

Add this line:

AUDIO_CPU_LOAD_LIMIT = 10

3. Update to your latest nvidia (or AMD) graphics driver. Then goto you nvidia graphics driver control panel Nvidia settings, under manage 3D settings set it to:

Everything "application controlled" apart from:

Maximum pre rendered frames: Set to "4".

Tripple buffering set "on"

.. same can be found for AMD.

4. On game launch window under "game settings" button tick "wait for Vsync".

..... You will have to trial and error the other setting to your rig for all other options in the game launcher setting window but I have dual core and GTX260 (yep its an old rig but my larger one is used for office use) :) My current options are:

High render quality
MSAA 4x
Lock to FPS 60.

But you will have to test your own sweet spot.

5. When you launch the full game, ALT-TAB out of it and then load up your pc process list, find "fifa4.exe" in the list, right click over it and choose "set priority" and click on "high".

If you use XP or it does not remember this each time you load, grab this small tool called PRIO: http://prio.en.softonic.com/

Install it and then proceed again with step5 , this time you will have a tick option named "save priority" make sure its ticked and then set process priority to "high" then you never need to change it again (same for all games and processes).

REGULAR DEFRAG

To keep any other disk access lag and save trying to defrag your entire hard drive (yawn) grab this small Microsoft tool called "contig":

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/sysinternals/bb897428.aspx

Drop the exe file into your game folder, in this case "origin games/fifa14" ... right click on the exe and select "properties" .. under the "target" window at the very end of the line add a space and then add this on the end: -s *.* -v

So the target line should read:

"(YOUR DRIVE INSTALL LETTER) :\ Program Files\Origin Games\FIFA 14\Contig.exe" -s *.* -v

Then click apply.

Now double click the contig.exe, this will open a window and will ONLY drefrag all files and folders under its location, so you can specifically defrag JUST your fifa14 folder without running an entire drive defrag. Do this regular to make sure its not fragmented.

This tool can be used on any folder BTW.

Tripple buffer helps with vsyc, and also frames render head draws prior to what's on screen and this can counter any "jolting" as the camera is panning.

So far I have great FPS, and cut scenes are fluent along with game play.

I posted this here becuase no matter your driver or set-up try these out for yours and see if you have a better experience, and please not this is only if you do experience issues, no point trying to fix what's not broken :)
