Some solution to the lag of the FIFA 2011?

I wouldn't be that sure about that.

My previous machine was a Pentium D 3.4GHz / GF8600GT, pretty able to run FIFA09 or even FIFA10 at somewhat high detail levels, with resolution of 1280x1024.

It could run FIFA07 at maximum details with "both hands tied".

But there was no way to run FIFA08 with that machine. It was lagged to hell, even at 640x480, low detail, everything off.

The game seemed to be incompatible with that machine, due some evil bug. I believe it could happen again with some EA game (to be "incompatible" with some configurations).

And about the cpu being a bottleneck, it is, at least, hard to find any benchmark test pointing to that direction.

I remember of a benchmark test showing that anything better than a Pentium 4 1GHz would be able to run COD: Modern Warfare 2, @Full-HD with every setting to maximum quality, with the proper video card.

Maybe the "solution" for all the lag problems is simply to wait for a fix from EA (that may never come).

Just for the record, I have a Core2Quad 2.66/GF GTS250, and I'm having some real lags only in replays; the gameplay is always fine.

I want to congratulate you ..... it seems to me that with few words you have managed to summarize what for years him happens to many players of FIFA, and that they are never listened by EA to contribute improvements!!!

i've playe quite a few ea games and i must say, personally i think their games are excellent but, there are quite a few bugs tht cause lags and stuff like that... not all lags are related to specs of the cpu...for me 09 lagged quite frequently while 10 didn't flinch not even in high details..

my fifa11 is unpatched yet (still original database). i found out that i have some major lagging when i played on Old Trafford. especially when i dribble on Penalty Box. perhaps the the crowds behind the nets that makes the game was lagg (the crowds were standing). i'm afraid to apply the Crowds patch cause i will crashing my game.

Have you tried SCREEN_SLEEP=16 in rna.ini? Add the line and try it. It has done wonders to me. Also modify PlayerLODMultiplier in settings.lua to 1.0 - 10.0.

Looking for some fix about this problem on internet I found this forum, and decided to report the same ****.
As well as Alametao, Im lagging on gameplay, (fixed the lagg on replays with FIFA11LODSettings) it makes almost impossible to play, i'd say exhausting.
Remembering that my computer has enough power to play the game fluently, but one think I noticed is about the SO, Im running Windows 7 x64 and other players with the same problem too, so I went to Windows XP x86 and the game runs like a charm (high quality).
BTW, I've tried everything about configs and drivers and gave up.. when I want to play I go to XP...

To modify the shortcut and to give high priority since one executes it.

Click right in the shortcut, properties and where says "destination", they write:

CWindows\System32\cmd.Exe /c start "FIFA 11" / high "CProgram Files\EA Sports\FIFA 11\Game\fifa.exe"

But for those looking to fix the lag in Fifa 11, you might want to go to the fifaconfig.exe and disable the V-Sync, i did and i have nearly no lag at all

nice to know you thread booster. i just upgrade my processor to intel i5 but lag is always randomly exist. it never bother me at all but the "random crash" will always a mysterious thing to me.

i wonder who will be the first to identify the factor of random crash of our adorable game?

how much did EA pay you to be their speaker? your ff11 working fine is one of a thousand. most of us experienced crash. even you see the easport forum, people are cursing ea for the crash thing and they (EAsports) released their fix patch assuming that they had realized that their product has defect. sorry but i seem talking to an immature idiot.

i tried every thing , the only thing fixed the lag was ( windows xp )
i play the game very smooth on medium ,1024x768, 0x AA with ati lag option checked , vsync on

amd athlon tf-36 2.0 g.b
4 g.b ram
ati hd 3200 2 g.b hyper memory

You really need help and EA dont pay me ****, i buy my own things after hard work, try and get a job and you can buy a GOOD COMPUTER too. and you will se that the game works FINE. ffs

You cant run games with same computer every year, beacuse games will upgrade just as computer parts will too, like cpu / gpu and so on.
