Sometimes, asymmetry actually helps when it's time to put the texture on the in-game kits. If you take a look at the EA kits, lots of them have some asymmetric lines near the chest/shoulder.

I'm talking about the distortion near the chest/shoulder. When it's time to put the texture over the kit model, there's a lot of distortion. Notice that most Adidas EA kits have the shoulder stripes distorted near the collar, to compensate that in game. It's not a "defect", it's actually well thought.
