i don't so much!

look at it this way, Hearts have 68 points now after 36 matches BUT after 8 they had the maximum 24.

That means out of a possible 84 points from the last 28 matches they have taken only 44 points. That to me means they are by no means certain to beat Aberdeen who still have 4th place to go for and a possible UEFA Cup place, depending of course on Hearts beating Gretna in the Cup Final AND Rangers getting the 2nd CL place.

I actually thought Celtic played better yesterday than they did on both New Year's Day and when they clinched the league against us.

People really need to stop assuming we'll beat Aberdeen. Our midfield can be extremely lightweight when Aguiar plays, and if we stand off them like we can do I'd be very worried. What majorly pissed me off was the attitude going to Easter Road that we'd pump the bitters again just cause of the Cup semi-final. That said though, it's amazing to be in this position. I still, however maintain the view that this was our season for the SPL, and as great a rollercoaster ride as following Hearts always is, even 2nd considering our start is a disappointment.

so thats where they got that tune from. for most of the first half on saturday they kept shouting scott severin is gaaaay!! they thought they were well ace, then when one of there players got injured seve kicked the ball out... absolutely booting it hard as f*ck into the hibs end!

I just want to say, "C'MON HEARTS!"

It will be nice to see a different SPL team in the CL and they deserve it. Really thought you guys could've got the title this year if your chairman hadn't mucked up with Burley.

Scottish Cup on the horizon too! :hump:

Ok, so if ICT get more points than Hibs, who gets the european (be it UEFA or InterToto) spot?

The rules forbid ICT from finishing in the top 6 due to the split, but they can be 4th on points.

Didnt mean to piss on your strawberries. Just think the sheep are normally sh1te when they come to Tynecastle.

Hey guys

Rumour has it that Terry Butcher may be coming down here to replace Pierre Littbarski at Sydney FC. I'm aware of his history as a player, but don't have a clue about him as a manager. (would like us to avoid the good player, mediocre coach mistake this time) Is he any good??? as a tactician, as a motivator?? Do his teams play good lookin/attractive football?? And most importantly is there any chance of him actually leaving or is it just baseless Aust. media speculation :nape:.

Actually the rumour up here was that Littbarski was going to come to Hearts as a coach.

Butcher... I suppose you can call a decent enough motivator, but his teams, much like himself as a player, set out to boot the sh*t out of the opposition. The style of football is alright for the SPL (very much scrap for everything, lump it to a lanky striker thing) But I'm unsure how it would be received in Oz. He made the CIS Cup final last year, and his only other managerial claim to fame is beating Celtic on the last day with 2 late Scott McDonald goals. :p

I'll have a look around the papers here, but so far I've heard nothing about him leaving.

well done hearts! they definetly deserved it, rangers dropped points to poor teams such as livingston, dunfermline and ict, also aberdeen. Hearts have done well, hopefully they'll qualify for the group stages next year, i think they have a better chance than celtic.

congratulations to hearthuania!

Will "Always the Bridesmaid" (Hearts fanzine) have to change its name now?

if Barca win the CL then Hearts DON'T have a better chance than Celtic of making the group stages. Celtic go straight in.

EDIT: u wouldn't be a wishful-thinking rangers fan by any chance? just a guess!
