advice that Works
Hello to everyone,
I am new here, I mod my FIFA games using softs by Rinlado, and patches by other modders big thank to all of them
I decided to open this thread to answer (hopefully) a question reappearing in the forum over and over regarding stadiums installation. The method I use since fifa 2012 is simple and works very well – it enables you to use any stadium other stadium creators have made no matter how many stadiums you would like to use in game! For fifa 12 I used over 50 stadiums.
The method had a drawback I did not mind – however community would be critical about – this is why I did not publih the idea before. The quality of some stadiums using below described method (lights, shadows) were not that good. But since fifa 14 I do not see this such an issue as before. And it works no matter league patch (e.g. moddingway, grazy greek patch) you use.
The idea is simple: instead of importing more and more new stadiums that stadium creators make (BIG THANK to all of them!) to the fifa game, just use one stadium slot and dynamically overwrite the stadium files with the ones you like. That means: you save created stadiums files under your documents files and depending what stadium you would like to use you simply replace the stadium files in the game.
For this purpose (to avoid the hand copy and paste method) you can easily program small utility doing this (I call it stadium changer). It works also when you have fifa game running. Only apparent condition is you do not overwrite files of the stadium if you have this stadium in use by game.
Before you can use this method I recommend to follow the steps below:
1. get creation master (CM) for fifa 14 by rinaldo (can be found in soccergaming forum)
2. create a clone of stadium using CM (stadium nametade Municipal, Stadium id 179 – why? Good camera angle, all weather conditions included) and save it as Stadium 8 (under this id in fifa 11 there was former juve stadium, that no longer exist, but that slot serves the purpose very well). You can name the stadium whatever you like, I simply use Stadium 8 (with an id:8).
3. Download the stadium lua file from Sido at
http://www.soccergaming.com/forums/showthread.php?t=188738
and paste it to the fifa game folder: FIFA 14/Game/data/fifarna/lua/assets
It will overwrite existing stadium.lua file and it solves the issue with the night games (without it the night game was like playing day game at added stadium)
4. when you download the stadium created by any stadium modder, save it as described in step 5 and rename the files (crowd, fx, stadium) changing whatever stadium id number there is to 8, e.g.: crowd_179_1.dat change to crowd_8_1.dat and so on for all stadium files
5. save it as e.g.: my documents/fifa_14_stadiums/stadium_name(give the name you like)/crowd (fx, stadium).
6. Depending on what stadium you would like to use in the game just copy and paste the stadium files to the game folder:
FIFA 14/Game/data/screenassets/crowd (fx, stadium).
I recommend first to delete the files in the game folders and then copy to game folders the stadium 8 files of the stadium you would like to play with.
Never you do not need to regenerate!
Once you start your fifa game and choose to play with Stadium 8, you will play with the last stadium you have copied to fifa game folder.
Currently I am using around 10 stadiums and all work perfect (day and night games).
Of course as mentioned above you can enhace the whole thing with the utility that will enable you to do the copy/paste trick of the chosen stadium automatically.
The reason I do not see a point to publish such utility is that you would need to update the code of it every time you wish to add a new stadium to the game and every gamer can opt to have different stadiums that were (or possibly will be published by stadium creators in future). Another issue would the publishing the utility with the stadium files created by somebody else.
But the above described can be done by everyone easily and for those without some programming skills simple hand copy and paste method works fine as well (just a little bit clumsy, depending how often you would like to change the stadium in game).
You can even assign a stadium 8 to the team with CM 14 and you will have whatever stadium you have currently under stadium 8 loaded to the game.
In game picture of the stadium will be that of Stade Municipal, but this is only a detail and could be worked on as well.
I think stadium 8 can not be used for on-line gaming. I did not test, but I guess it is the case.
Last the obligatory: I can not assume any responsibility for the damages the user could make to his game using above described. It was written with best intention in mind. I hope the idea will help to some of the gamers.
If some of the stadium creator read this I would like to ask a question regarding the crowd size in the stadium: I mean, when I play some low stars teams match it is unrealistic the stadium crowd is full - half empty stadium crowd would be desired.
Is there a way to make a stadium crowd half empty? Because in fifa 14 all stadiums
are crowd full to last seat - that in most cases looks unrealistic.
